Props to this company for three things: 1) they provide some of the best instructions from a Chinese company I've ever seen; all the pieces are clearly labeled, and the instructions are easy to follow, 2) all the pieces have either a pre-drilled "starter hole" (so you know the screw is in the correct place), or a "slot" that the other piece fits into, and 3) their customer service has been excellent. I emailed them several times, and, each time, received responses shortly after. They were very helpful (and understandable), and when I let them know I was missing a few screws, they came up with a quick and very agreeable solution. These are very heavy, solid rocking chairs. They have a footboard on the front, that I've never seen on a rocking chair before - I originally thought it would be annoying, but it's actually quite comfortable. The only thing I don't love about the chairs is how the seatback is attached - seems just a little sketchy, but that could just be the engineer in me. Also, if you have a hex bit socket set and a screwdriver that uses bits, that will save you a LOT of time during installation. Overall, these are great chairs, and I can recommend them highly.

I don’t write many reviews and only when very pleased or extremely disappointed. I Just completed putting 2 of these rocking chairs together and have 3 comments. The chairs are very solid and I expect they will last many years. We will keep them on a covered porch to look out at Narragansett Bay. The assembly instructions were obviously written by someone whose first language was English, which was a welcome change from most directions these days. I would caution to pay close attention to the diagrams as there are left and right components that must be assembled in the correct orientation. The individual pieces themselves are well engineered and fit together nicely. I have struggled in the past assembling things with parts that “mostly fit”, that is not the case with these chairs, the parts fit correctly. The only parts that I got my wife to help with were the seat and the back. I could have done it alone but the second pair of hands proved quite helpful and time saving. I used a cordless drill with an allen bit. I strongly recommend this (or something like it) It would have been excruciating to assemble the chairs with the tiny little allen key provided. All in all I am very pleased with the chairs.

The chairs are well built and sturdy. After assembly we of course tried them out and immediately removed the foot board. When deciding on a chair one of the reasons we chose this was the foot board, thinking it would be a great idea. However, if you don't have long legs you might want to reconsider as it was very hard to get in and out of with it there. It did not effect the sturdiness. I was disappointed in the color. I chose the red based on the picture but it is actually more like the color of redwood. I will keep them however, because of the weightiness and stability. Just know you're not getting an actual prime color red. I will be applying 303 Aerospace Protectant to maintain the color and finish. You can find this on Amazon.
