The instructions to put this together, were mostly clear, and the fixings were each in their own labelled bag, which always make it easier. I was able to put this together on my own. Once it was put together, it seems sturdy and for a hard wooden deck chair, quite comfortable. I like the fact that the design also comes with the ability to take a couple of pegs out and fold it up for storage.

The media could not be loaded. ***I love me a good Adirondack chair*** As a human on the larger side of the scale (6'4", 270-ish pounds), Adirondack chairs are my preferred style for backyard furniture for a number of reasons: - They're comfortable - They tend to be a bit larger than most so short or tall, big or small people have no issues with them - They have a nice bit of recline built into them - They're slightly lower to the ground so people can say 'hi' to the doggos - They have wide armrests that function as drink rests better than many other chairs This chair by Adirondack fits that description fairly well, although it does run a bit on the smaller side compared to our favorite one, but it's still plenty spacious where the armrests meet the backrest. ***Foldable for easier winter storage*** Serwall's model also has the added benefit of being foldable, which means that during winter we can bundle this up and stick it beneath the back patio table instead of needing to get it it's own cover. That saves us some money, so we appreciate it. ***How to fold the chair*** Without sacrificing it's ability to hold a larger person like myself, it folds quite easily in just two steps: 1) Remove the metal bolts connecting the armrests to the seat 2) Pull the backrest forward towards the front of the chair and watch it fold down. 3) Done. Setting it back up is just as easily, making sure you remember to put the bolts all the way back in and that the backrest is at rest in the seat base. ***The one downside...*** My only complaint about this particular model is that it's slightly smaller size means its backrest doesn't quite extend up high enough that I can rest the back of my head against the backrest like our biggest chair allows. But I figured that might be the case when I picked this up and saw how the backrest abruptly cuts off for the foldable storage feature. ***Overall Value*** This chair is made from high-density polyethylene, so while the faux woodgrain is nice, it does look and feel like very strong plastic and with that comes the benefit that it will be easier to maintain in the long-term and also helps to explain its slightly less expensive value of $170 (at the time of review) versus authentic wooden Adirondack chairs which can cost substantially more while also requiring more upkeep and care. Plus, the foldability of this one means we don't need to get a special cover for it and can tuck it underneath the covered patio table for winter, saving us a little bit more money. That all amounts to a pretty great value.

Terrible product. Within 1 year of purchasing black coatin/paint rubs off on wet cloth. 2 years after purchasing they fall apart. Screw anchors pop out and legs warped. Had to take to dump since no way to fix.

This folding chair is very actually very well made. It is heavy so even though it is foldable it will not be easy to move around. It felt really sturdy after assembly and comfortable to sit on even for a long period of time without any additional padding. The assembly was actually very easy and I really appreciate the fact that they not only included all necessary hardware to complete the assembly, but also all necessary tools so I would not have to waste my time to look for them and could start and complete the assembly right after opening the box. I wish all manufacturers did the same. I have not had it long enough to confirm its durability, but from the look of the structure and quality of the materials I would say it will last for a while. So far I like everything about this chair even the color and I am very pleased with this purchase so I will be definitely recommending it.

This is a super deck chair that is stylish and comfortable. The chair takes about 10 minutes for me to setup- it was easy and fast. The chair I ordered was a very soft blue that looks good on my deck. The feature I like the most is that the chair can be folded up for winter storage. The chair uses a series of chains and bolts to prevent the chair from tipping over or folding as we sit or get up. The chair is well designed and constructed. It is very solid and a bit heavy, which is a testimony to its quality construction. The chair is weather resistant since it is made of vinyl decking material for long wear. You will certainly get your monies worth out of this chair due to its design and construction quality.

This is a beautiful , well built chair. The assembly directions are excellent. Very clear on how to assemble, and good diagrams to support the description. Lots of parts, but clearly marked, and in the case of the fasteners, in their own zipper bags, again clearly marked. I was amused that the instructions said assembly would take about 15 minutes. That’s someone who can screw in fasteners with both hands and feet at the same time. It took me much longer because the entire assembly is screwing in bolts. I love the fact that the chair will fold for winter storage, and it’s quick and easy to do. Just remove the plugs from the front legs, slightly life the back and fold. Couldn’t be easier. I give this sturdy, well designed, easy to assemble chair my highest recommendations. In fact, I’m going to get another!
