This is an excellent price for a well-made product. If the savings come in the self-assembly, it's definitely worth it. It took me about 40 minutes to assemble the chair; instructions were clear, and the hardware was labeled. It's nice that the manufacturer includes all the tools you need, but you'll save time by having a few of your own tools: * A drill set to low torque and slow spin * A Phillips head drill bit * A deep socket 10mm drill bit or a 10mm socket wrench If I order a second chair, it will likely take about half the time. I'm using my chair at high altitudes (around 7,000 ft.), and I appreciate the weight and toughness of the recycled plastic parts. This is a true deal since similar chairs in stores go for anywhere from $299 - $499.

On the good side, these chairs (we bought two) are quite comfortable and sturdy. If not for a few issues, I would give them 5 stars. On the down side.... First, they advertise "80% assembled, 6 parts, 5 steps, 15 minutes to assemble." Wrong. While the back and seat are (mostly) assembled, there are at least 10 other parts that have to be added. Everything is well labeled and the instructions are quite clear. However, the first chair took the better part of two hours. I guess I learned something the first time because the second chair only took about 45 minutes. Maybe not a huge deal, but it is certainly not 15 minutes. Then, the color. Burgundy. From the color samples (and having enjoyed a number of glasses of wine), I expected the color to be, well, burgundy. The chairs turned out to be much more pinkish-red than I expected. Not a deal-stopper and not enough to go through the hassle of returning them, but I was disappointed. So, some pros and cons. They are comfortable, though!

I’m from the ADKs so I’m a tough critic when it comes to passing a chair as one. These are nice to sit in…deep and low but not too low. First one took me about 30 min to assemble only due to tightening bolts/nuts with cheapie wrench they provide. Switched to my socket set with my ratchet screw driver and second went together in the 15 min they state it will take. Folding mechanism works easily after it gets broken in. Don’t tighten bolts too much and it’s a breeze. These replace a pair of original ADK design chairs I built with my dad (one rotted out). A great deal and will be great for sitting watching the leaves fall with a drink!

I bought two chairs, with the first chair I assembled I had problems doing it alone, since an extra pair of hands would be very useful in certain places. The 2nd chair was much easier to assemble since I had learned from my mistakes with the first one. Folding the chair is not easy as implied by the assembly instructions. I have only had the chair for a day but have been unable to fold them. They look nice and sturdy for now but since I just got them I am unable to rate this section. Will update once I have more time with them

The materials and sturdiness of the chair is fine. However, putting it together takes two people and well into two hours. Trying to use a hex wrench and an allan wrench at the same time to tighten something is infuriating. If you are going to advertise "10-15 minutes and you have a chair" then it shouldn't come in pieces "A-M" and 30+ screws, nuts, bolts, wrenches, and screwdrivers. My husband and I were both sweating and cursing by the end of assembly.

We purchased two of these. We had them on our dock and were nice there because they are sturdy and water proof. During a recent storm we lost one of the pins because one of the screws that connected the pin to the chain came loose. The pin and screw fell into the water and were lost. I reached out to customer support and they quickly responded and sent me replacements at no charge.

First, I would like to say that they chairs are awesome! They were delivered quickly and in great condition. I read many reviews about how hard they are to assemble and braced myself for the worst. The first chair took us 45 minutes to assemble due to my not reading the directions correctly. The next 5 chairs took us on average of around 16 minutes each including unpacking. Please note that I trashed the tools that came with the chairs and used my own bits, drill, and ratchet to speed up the process. It was really a painless process once we got going. I would recommend these to anyone looking for nice Adirondack chairs. We shopped around quite a bit before making our purchase.
