It had been a while since I had a down comforter, and I didn’t want to spend a whole lot on a top of the line one since Winter isn’t very cold here in Southern California anyway. It looked and felt great right out of the box and really didn’t need much time to “fluff up” Feels good on the skin if you don’t want to put it inside a Duvet cover, which you probably should, but I just lay my Duvet cover on top of it so I can just pull the cover off if the 2 combined are a tad too warm. It’s warm without being hot, and lightweight enough not to feel heavy. Feels light-to-medium in weight. There was a very slight smell of feathers for a few days, but it was pleasant and not a bad one at all. I’m pleased with my purchae, especially for the price. Looks just about as good as my last Down comforter which I got from the Pacific Coast Feather company if I remember right, whcih was excellent but at least $200 I’ve only had this one for a couple of months so I can’t say how good the durability is yet ... show more

I love this blanket! I searched and tried a few different "lightweight " feather quilts that ended up being garbage. Most of them are "crinkly" or you can feel the feathers poking out...this one has a 500 fill power which for me- a hot sleeper, mid 40s female is fine. I can't stand the higher fill power- I sweat and feel like I'm being smothered. Not this one. It's just right and very lightweight so you feel like you are sleeping in a cloud. For reference, I do turn on the heat in the winter and the thermostat set to 63 degrees at which I am comfortable under this blanket. I live in Texas and for me this is a perfect winter blanket- the other 3 seasons I use a silk duvet which is also nice. Then I got a nice bamboo duvet cover for these and they are perfect! Came well packaged. I heard down comforter is not supposed to be compressed for a long time, and it came nice and fluffed up in a clear carrier. It smells just fine, with no harsh chemical smell. The packaging says to allow two days for full decompression so I assume I don't need to wash it. Out of precautions I still washed it and dried it. It had no trouble fluffing up. Had this comforter for couple of weeks and love it! It's so warm and lightweight. It perfectly fit on my queen size bed. Very soft and fluffy. So comfortable and won't throw feathers anywhere. Nice quality, the down filling stay in the place. Overall better than I expect, definitely worth the money!

Although warm and soft, this comforter leaks feather everywhere. Even inserted within a very thick duvet cover, it continuously leaks feathers through the duvet cover. We find feathers all over our clothes and floating around our bedroom every day. Have tried fluffing it outside to no avail. Would not recommend this product at all. ... show more
