  • Fits Roland Fantom 8 (barely)
Size: Deep 88-Note
Fits Roland Fantom 8 once you remove one of the end pads included with case. Case includes plenty of velcro backed pads to prevent keyboard movement. Be sure that you do NOT place the pads over any of the many potentiometers on the face of the instrument or you will risk damaging them. Place the pads ONLY in open areas containing no adjustment controls. I have included a picture of where I place my pads for reference. Placing the pads in these locations prevents lateral movement while still providing protection to the potentiometer control knobs. ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed
Size: 61-Note
It was a sad day when my old keyboard broke. When I bought my replacement, I knew I needed to get a case that would keep it protected. For size reference, my new keyboard is a Roland JUNO-DS61. My priorities were a secure fit with good padding, a compartment to store cables, a hard exterior to absorb impacts- and a set of wheels would be a nice bonus. I looked at a number of options, including TheFlightCaseCompany.com and Roland themselves, but in the end this case was clearly the best value, and it delivered on all my priorities. At first, I was a bit worried about the reconfigurable panels, but after messing around I managed to find a perfect arrangement which keeps the keyboard well protected while also creating a perfect little compartment for my cables. The case seems very hard and sturdy and the latches close solidly. It even has wheels! Which is good because the thing is huge. Even though the price was a bit off putting, this really was the best value. The runner up was TheFlightCaseCompany.com, but thy wanted to charge over $100 for shipping. Since this is sold on Amazon, shipping was free, which let me put that extra money into getting a better product. ... show more

  • Good case as it should be
Size: 61-Note
Hauled my keyboard around in a Gator soft-sider for many years and finally bit the bullet for this case--and am glad I did. Yamaha PSR SX 900 fits perfectly along with the music rack, which I lay on the keyboard with an old pillowcase for padding. Included foam blocks position easily around the edges. Now I throw the keyboard in the van and can even have stuff on top without worrying about damage. The case has picked up quite a few scratches but so far has held up well in the six months I've owned it. ... show more

  • Purchased for Checking On Flights
Size: 49-Note
I bought the 49key version for my Prophet Rev2, which is a 61 key synth. FORTUNATELY the dimensions are precise in the description and the Rev2 fit very snugly, and I've already checked it at a few airports without issue, it's extremely durable and the latches fast. UNFORTUNATELY this case is the exact size of an assault rifle case, and I get a lot of questions from airport staff. It's worth noting that the 49key version does NOT have wheels, as it says in the description, and my prophet+case weighs 35lbs, which would be a lot to carry for someone less muscular. It's also worth noting that even the 49key case is considered over-sized as far as TSA is concerned, it doesn't cost extra but needs to be checked in a different location in most airports. In conclusion it's a great case, and I trust it with my favorite synth, even through the god-know-what happens in the baggage loading area. I recommend comparing dimensions of your instrument rather than buying the appropriately labeled case, as there's no reliable standard for size. ... show more

  • Not worth 400. Arrived with a defect, however, I shipped across country w/ no further damage.
Size: Slim Long 88-Note
The media could not be loaded. Purchased the slim 88 case. This is too big to be a carry on, and airlines tried charging me 100 to have it put under. This is also too big to be shipped by USPS. Ended up just shipping it through UPS for $150... The price is a bit much for the quality, but I'm happy it was able to ship from coast to coast without any further damage (thanks to several fragile stickers). Defect: The outer casing seems to be plastic and wasn't properly sealed to inner casing and caused one side to bubble out. It is clear to me that this will become a major problem and will continue to get worse over time. You can see in the attached video where it bubbled out. the The Roland FA08 BARELY fits and I had to remove all of the foam inserts from the ends in order to make it fit. No extra room for pedals, accessories, etc... All in all I was able to ship an expensive keyboard safely across the country for my daughter's birthday. The last photo is the condition it arrived in after I shipped it across country. Honest opinion, It served it's purpose, but this DEFINITELY is NOT worth 400 bucks. Maybe 200 at best. ... show more

  • Case Works for Airline Travel
Size: Slim Long 88-Note
Purchased this case for my son's Native Instruments Komplete 88 key keyboard. It fits perfectly. Is snug, has moveable foam pieces to pack around the keyboard and fits the charger, and his Roli. As for moving the case around, the wheels on one end make that super easy. We schlepped around 3 airport trips thus far, and have had no issues as contents did not suffer any movement or damage whatsoever. Case is larger than what airlines will accept without extra fees, but that is expected. Case is extremely durable and well made. Expect it to last a long time. ... show more
