The exterior and likeness to fit in like a piece of furniture is good. The quality fo construction has much to be desired. The holes on the bottom where legs/feet are to be inserted, were drilled too close to the edge. So, when the legs were inserted, the edge of the wood/plywood split. I purchased this file cabinet for my business and upon delivery, ( which should have been set up inside my home), the person left the box outside my door wrong side up. Which in-turn meant that now the drawers are uneven but the cabinetry is beautiful if you don't look close. I phoned the company and they have never responded to my complaint. SMH ... show more

What a MAJOR disappointment!...I received my 2 file cabinets on Friday (2 days ago), and the attached photos were taken, immediately, as they they were taken out of the boxes. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE damage are seen on both file cabinets!! Before making this purchase, I read reviews and saw photos of damaged cabinets...I was hopeful that my cabinets would not be damaged...To my dismay, the damages to both cabinets were horrific...100 times worse than the pictures that I saw on the customer's reviews! Furthermore, the all 4 file cabinet drawers do not close and open properly. I feel like I have paid $788.00 for USED/DAMAGED/MALFUNCTIONING fIle cabinests! :( How many customers would pay shipping cost to return heavy furniture back to the manufacturer?...Not me, I do not want to have to pay another cent for this fiasco-of-a-purchase. I DESERVE a huge percentage off the cost of these 2 file cabinets. -I do not want to believe that the manufacturer sent me damaged furniture/file cabinets??... -Note: I paid for the cabinets to be assembled...Maybe the assemblers were half-sleeping when they assembled my file cabinets. :( or -Maybe the UPS shippers mishandled the boxes (with the cabinets enclosed)...because the boxes did not have labels that stated "handle with care"...or...."fragile". Whatever the case may been for the damage furniture, I feel that I deserve a significant discount for these items. The only things that I like about the cabinets are as follows: 1). the quality of the pressed/veneer wood is nice 2). the mahagony color is beautiful. Question: HOW can I appreciate these mahogony cabinets which are SEVERELY DAMAGED and have malfunctioning file cabinet drawers?!!??! I DO NOT WANT THIS REVIEW TO BE POSTED TO THE PUBLIC. Well worth the extra fee for buying it assembled, it came well wrapped with no damages. I bought my office furniture from Dania Furniture over 20 years ago. I needed another file cabinet to match. Since Dania is no longer in business I had to look else where. The grain of the file cabinet matched exactly to my existing office furniture. It seriously looks like I bought everything together! I like the cabinet and it fits well in my office. The locking mechanism was important to me and it really isn’t that great. I can still open the drawers 1.5 inches after locking and it seems like it could easily break with a strong tug.

I so pleased with this file cabinet. It's a little big for my small office space, but big is better than too small. It's very heavy, so you need at least one strong man and a dolly to get it in the house and in place. I keep seeing reviews that say it was hard to assemble.
