I'd previously bought a different brand of lights for my daughters dorm room. My 14 year old fell in love with them and has pestered me all year to get him some. I held out until we finally got him a new bedroom set. He's over the moon. It just so happened that right after I bought this set, his sister decided that she no longer wanted her set. Score for my son!! His room is now like a nightclub with all of the lights. LOL!! The great thing is that even though the sets are from 2 different sellers/manufacturers the connections are the same and they work perfectly together. I was able to get them to both work on the same remote and on the same app. I was thrilled because the remote that came with this set is SO much better than the other one. They're extremely easy to hang-up - plug everything together, peel off the tape backing and stick it to a surface. My 14 year old did everything himself. The double stick tape is strong and we haven't had any issues with anything falling off the wall or under the bed. The LED lights are super bright and cool looking. It's nice that the lights have 20 preset colors, 8 Light Pattern and 3 dynamic modes: static, fade and flash. You're able to adjust the length of the lights, by using the cutting lines. It helps so you can have a more professional look. Just be super careful that you're 100% sure before cutting because once you cut it you can't reattach it. I would highly recommend these lights. They are well made, easy to install and you'll have tons of fun playing with them. ... show more

Setting up the lights were a bit of a hassle as the room I installed them in was not very accessible. The connector pieces used to merge two strips was flimsy and continuously disconnected, I eventually had to tape it to keep it up and connected. Suddenly the lights began to take on a mind of their own and cut on randomly when I was not in the house or change color when I did decide to turn them on. After about 6 and a half months they finally stopped working and I had assumed it was at fault of the battery in the remote however that itself was fine and I simply ended up taking them down entirely and throwing them away. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I bought a set of led strip lights two days before these (govee) and they were not even close to this quality! These are brighter (twice the number of led’s) than the other brand and also have a protective covering over the led and makes them waterproof. The covering feels like a rubber coating that is clear and flexible! This doesn’t have the app or Bluetooth capability that the other set had ...but I would give that up for quality of the lights!! I paid the same amount for the other brand and returned them the next day because of failure! They were very flimsy and the connection points were week! One side of the leds failed! This restored my faith!!! This set is really nice!! The remote works well from 15-20 feet so far and I am pleased with it. Adhesion is pretty good considering I placed the lights on the backside of my projection screen and it is felt! No problems so far. I will update in a few months! If you find a similar set of this brand with the WiFi or Bluetooth....it would probably be a game changer but these are awesome as is! ... show more
