  • Sennheiser ie 500 pro in ear monitors
Color: IE 500 Pro Clear
These are great. I've been using a pair of Shure 425's for the past few years and they are nice in ears but I had issues keeping them in my ears while playing. These Sennheiser are a lot lighter and fit my ear better. I play bass and sing so I needed something that would reproduce 50Hz to 5kHz and these are perfect. Stage sound isolation is nice and they sound really good playing Prime Music from my phone. Excellent in ears. ... show more

  • Excellent in clarity. Overall a very balanced earbud.
Color: IE 500 Pro Smokey Black
I personally owned 4 pairs of iem like Sony ier m7, AKG n5005, n40 and fender fxa7. It has the best clarity among all of them. This iem focuses on bass and mid construction. Bass of the iem is pretty punchy, vocal is spectacular for this iem. Treble probably has less energy, but it’s still very clear. Tonality is great. it has the brightest and widest soundstage among all of my iems. It is even brighter than my n5005. Overall this iem is very balanced, crystal clear and bright. You will never feel bored with this iem on. Moreover, this earbud sits in my ears so well, this is the lightest iem among all of my iems. Thumbs up for this. Isolation is okay. But it is not the best compared to my m7. The Sony ier m7 has the best noise isolation. One of the point which I really don’t like is the design. It looks cheap and it gets scratches very easily. I have seen some pictures of the clean version of this ie 500 pro, personally I think it’s really awful to look at. Therefore I bought the black version. If you don’t care about the design of this iem, and you want the best clarity and vocal in this price range, I highly recommend this iem to you. It never disappoints me. Is it worth this price? I would definitely say YES. ... show more

  • Absolutely no distortion and a masterfully balanced sound signature.
Color: IE 500 Pro Smokey Black
These are by far the best earphones I have ever heard. The closest thing I have been able to compare them to is the Sennheiser HD800SDR (modded) but the IE500 Pro has much better bass and narrower, more intimate imaging but does not lose out on speed and detail retrieval. Sennheiser claims their tuning for this earphone is "non fatiguing" and I would have to agree. When playing from a clean source, the music sounds every bit as detailed and bass extended when it's at low volumes, as it does when I have the source playing at almost ear deafening volumes. Sennheiser has had no interest in making an armature earphone because the technology was never meant to create music but to create narrow frequency bands in hearing-aids. Developers of multi armature systems have a very hard time overcoming the inherent technical difficulties of a multi-speaker design. This development of Sennheiser may help many others experience incredibly dynamic sound at safe levels but for me, it only means that the louder the music is, the more emotionally engaging and aurally immersive it becomes, as not a hint of distortion or struggle from the 7mm XWB to keep up with the details was ever picked up by me. This is the same technology introduced with the IE800 in 2012 but now in 2019 has been perfected. Thank you, Sennheiser for your tireless research into the pursuit of perfect sound and musical excellence. ... show more

  • Hearing flaws in a recording session
Color: IE 500 Pro Smokey Black
This in-ear is so insane. I never would imagine that I would pick most of the flaws that musicians made during the recording session in an earphone. The range exposed where musicians trying to hide. I could hear the hidden instruments more clearly, and this will make you smile when you notice the music has ANOTHER LIFE that you never know it before although I use my equalizer in iTunes. You're gonna notice the gap between better the singers and their recording instruments (microphones) much clearer. The guitar and every drum in the drum sets will be more pronounced than normal earbuds. The sounds of them extend a bit longer that you'll know the difference. You cannot hear much of the difference in YouTube or Spotify until you listen to songs on Apple Music with an equalizer, and that's the fact. One complaint is that the S sound is sooo prominent, so clear that it's going to distract you a bit. ... show more

  • Awesome!
Color: IE 500 Pro Smokey Black
These are just amazing! I tried so many from Shure, Sony, Sennheiser, to some Chi-Fi ones. Have to say, I’m so impressed and finally found some incredibly balanced IEMs that are comfortable with a nice soundstage, tight bass, fantastic bright highs, and full mids where vocals can express their surround sound to envelope you. Make sure you use the right tips that fit nicely to give you that full sound! I’m using a FiiO DAC with lossless sound sources. As these break in over hours of listening, I’m sure they’ll only get better and more warm/buttery with their realistic punch. Really looking forward to these over time. Only thing...they aren’t the prettiest things in the world, but I’m getting used to their fun look. I got the darker ones which help the look. Oh, and that cable is great! At first, it tangles, but they get more loose, and they don’t get hung up on my skin or shirt. ... show more

  • Housing Pulled Apart… Again
Color: IE 500 Pro Clear
First, the good. They have decent resolution and soundstage for the price I paid ($300). Tonal balance is to the dark side, but not wildly so. Here’s my problem with them… They fall apart. I put a pair of Comply TX-400 tips on. Decided to remove them. The nozzle pulled out of the housing. Sent them to Sennheiser for repair, used them for a while with the Sennheiser tips, but when screwing with the Comply tips, the same thing just happened again. They fit a little more snug than stock, but the nozzle shouldn’t pull straight out of the body. Twice. I’m really disappointed. The bodies are just cheap. I’m glad I got them during a price drop and didn’t pay today’s prices for them. ... show more

  • Must have for professional stage in ear monitors
Color: IE 500 Pro Clear
The audio quality on these in ear headphones is absolutely pristine. These were my first single driver professional monitors so I must say I was skeptical. Noise isolation (not cancellation) is very dependent on using the right in ear bud attachment, it comes with plenty of options to choose from, so test a few in similar conditions to your usual set up. The bendy wire that wraps around your ear is very hard to keep in one shape, so expect to fiddle with that, a lot. Best solution I've come up to remedy this, is to clip your in ears to your shirt to reduce movement altogether. ... show more
