  • Great sounding work horse. Super light, comfortable. Works fine on phone without amp.
Style: HD 25
These, sound wise, are on par with the Momentum 2s or the HD599s or the AKG K451s. If you're familiar with those and like the sound signature, you'll get more of the same with the HD25s. I found the clamping a bit much out of the box but gently stretching the headband reduces the clamping. I like the adjustable split headband. I like that nearly every part is replaceable. I'm not wild about the stock ear pads and plan to replace those soon with something plusher. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this model again and certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great portable sound. I've played it through my headphone amp, my receiver, my television, and my telephone. It performs well on all. This model really excels with flacs, compact discs, or hi rez streaming. The sound is energetic yet balanced and easily heard in loud environments like public transport or airplanes. The soundstage is virtually non-existent but I barely noticed because the sound is so wonderfully tuned. The HD 25 handles all genres well. I've been able to wear these headphones for a few hours at a time. YMMV. ... show more

These are the best DJ headphones. Clear sound, tight bass, excellent volume, comfortable for long time use.

  • as always good quality with this item, sounds powerful. noise cancelation is good too.
Style: HD 25
would be nice if manufacturer made some discounts on this product even 1 day in a year. and adding some additional wires and spare parts inside too. but quality is excellent, nothing to add. thanks to manufacturer again, we are happy

  • Meh. There are better, cheaper choices.
Style: HD 25
I bought these for DJing, to replace a heavily used, 15+-year-old pair of Sony MDR-7506 that finally broke down. I went with these due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews: best DJ headphones ever; been using them for 20 years; don't even bother with anything else; blah, blah, blah. Well...I don't get the hype. These are smallish and light headphones with decent sound. And that's it. As compared to the 7506, I feel that they're a significant downgrade: A) They feel really plasticy and flimsy. Both are made of plastic of course, but these just leave a much cheaper and less solid overall impression. B) They're much, much less comfortable in every way. The headband is smaller and less adjustable, the ear cups are tiny and less padded. And I don't understand the point of the rotating left cup at all. When I am DJing using only one ear cup it moves a bit, and then when I drop the headphones back around my neck they stick out at a weird angle. So I'm forced to reach up and push them back into normal position. How does this help? C) Sound quality is not quite as good. It's probably a bit more neutral, which might be good if you're doing music production, but for DJ work I really want bass and richness. MDR-7506 delivers quite well here and these things sound slightly tinny in comparison. D) The cord on the 7506 is much nicer feeling. Soft rubberized spiral there, vs straight and not-quite-flexible-enough plastic on these. E) The 7506 cost 33% less. F) The 7506 include a carrying case. (Very minor, but still.) So all in all, I can't recommend these. Obviously they have their fans; loads of them. As always, YMMV. I'm not going to send my pair back at this point. They're good enough, and given the build quality I suspect I'm not going to get even close to 15 years out of these before some bit breaks -- probably that ridiculous rotating ear cup -- and I buy something else instead. Who knows, maybe at some point I'll stumble upon that hidden element that makes these the "best of all time." I can only hope. ... show more

  • Great headphones, but I have big ears :(
Style: HD 25
These headphones are really nice. The sound quality and the noise cancellation is really nice. I also like the capability of being able to fold one of the ears off to the side, i works well when mixing music. My only complaint is that the headphones themselves are a bit small for my big ears. They put alot of pressure on them and after not even 30 minutes, my ears start to hurt. Sad since I paid a pretty penny for them, but that was my own fault for not looking into it more. ... show more

  • For DJ mixing and nothing more. Only left ear cup swivels.
Style: HD 25
Cups fit tight - even on my narrow female head (and I have small ears, too). It's good for the noise isolation. It's meant to be that way. Only the left ear cup swivels. I thought both would, so that was a small letdown since I didn't see mentioned anywhere. I didn't even get a bag or anything to hold the headphones. I knocked off a star because even all of my $100 casual/budget/gaming headphones that I bought over the years ALL came with a nylon bag at least. I guess they had to skimp out somewhere, he? Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT buy these for casual listening to keep on your head straight for several hours. They are not meant for that purpose. Your ears will choke, get sweaty and get fatigued. ... show more

  • Sounds just Soo good, sold my m40x & m50.
Style: HD 25
currently I own HD25 2 sets, HD668b, Ath pro7x, DT1350, Koss PP, Ksc75, Oneodio studio, Status audio, JVC harx700, srh440, HD558, Koss Dj200 pro, JVC HA-S500, JVC HA-S400, HTF600, AKG240, but HD25 beats them all in sound quality department. Compare to M40x and m50 the bass is very tight, imaging is excellent for the cost of sound stage but treble and clarity is just excellent with good PRAT factor. It is not a very V shaped headphones, and a little bit mid bass hump makes is very fun to listen too. on the ear design makes the seal very tight to achieve good sound. construction is great. I bought 2 pairs last year and both look brand new till now. Its very hard to find another on-ear headphones to upgrade from this headphones, HD25 is just too perfect, but Oneodio studio over the ear offers almost same sound with the expense of maybe 15% sound clarity and it is just below $25. both HD25 and Oneodio pair very well with my Sansa Fuze plus and clip jam very well. They dont need extra power to drive them. for people with lower budget the Oneodio studio less than $25 is a better option. ... show more
