  • Artistry not for the faint of heart - colors are amazing
I was worried about the weather, if this box would be thrown, kicked, whatever. Had the large sticker, HANDlE with CARE! Thank you so much! I opened this nicely boxed item. The wrapping is wonderful. We finally opened…artist daughter said this is too beautiful to use. There is no limit to what I will pay for anything art related… she wanted the 72 count and I knew this count would brings tears of joy. Right on point. These will be used for 1st place artwork for another year art competition. Only the best will be used. Superb quality…art is forever; When u want the best for yourself, your loved one; you won’t regret this purchase. Photos do not do this set justice. • Joyful set of the best oil pastel to have
I am having the 72 HAIYA Chinese Sennelier dupes, but their is nothing better to have them for a full enjoyment of using them. At this low cost this summer from Blick supplies art store, whouah! It is worthy every Penny spent. Believe me, there are buttery but not as too oily than the new HAIYA selling on the recent American market since last year. As an artist, I need both of them and I am using the HAIYA for general useful, but I am using my Sennelier for delicate details or effects textures. Theirs colours are purest and some are lighter than HAIYA ones and the paper around are more useful quality with numbers written more readability. Nothing will beat Sennelier product even if I had four broken oil pastel. The wooden box is quite big and difficult to manage with hinges easy too broken unfortunately. ... show more

  • Like Butter
The quality of these pastels are unmatched. Expensive, but worth the investment when on sale. I would eat them if they weren't so poisonous.

  • Pastels are great. Shipped in damaged wood case.
The pastels are wonderful! However, the seller shipped me a set with a damaged wooden case (there was a big gouge on the top of the case). I know it was damaged BEFORE being shipped as the shipping box that it came in was still in pristine condition (not even any bumped corners). When you pay almost twice as much to get the pastels in the wooden storage case, you expect it to be in NEW and undamaged condition. Damaged boxes should really be sold as factory seconds with the accompanying discount. ... show more

  • I love these, who wouldn’t?
I’ve been wanting these forever. Idk why the set was so much less than regular retail, but so grateful, and a very happy holidays to me! As far as the product itself, none better imho. They are highly pigmented and so smooth, a pleasure to work with.

  • Awesome!
As an artist, I appreciate artist level mediums. Sennelier is one of the best, oil pastels on the market. I do know that it is the original brand of oil pastels that were made by Henri Sennelier for Pablo Picasso. I am in love with these. They are smooth and creamy. Easy to blend. You do not need a medium. I have never needed a tool. They are wonderful. I highly recommend that you use a cheaper grade of pastels to do your under painting and lower layers. Since they are very buttery and fairly soft, they will use up very quickly if you use them for your bottom layers. I use other oil pastels for my bottom layers such as Mungyo and Art Pro. The case is another added bonus. It is a lovely wood that is well build. The inserts are quite nice. Best of all, my pastels are held safely in place. ... show more

  • Supreme
Seriously, incredible pastels. Expensive, yes, but it's the most satisfying, rich in color, and buttery pastel on the market. If you're an artist with a little bit of olay money, I highly recommend picking this up. Shipped quick and arrived in two days, and Im not a prime member.

  • Best Pastels I have EVER used...
I have been an artist since childhood, and I have been fortunate enough to supplement my income by selling original works of art. I have tried other oil pastels over my lifetime and, simply put, these Sennelier Oil Pastels are by far THE VERY BEST I have ever tried, and this goes for some of the even more expensive brands as well. I use them like this: I do a blocked-in underpainting (and support) using acrylic gouache, then, I simply block in oil pastel color over the acrylic gouache. No need to press hard, as showing some of the underlying color is ideal. These oil pastels go on buttery smooth and easily. You can blend with your fingers or with a rag, and you can even apply these pastels over an acrylic or oil painted background. You can apply these over fully dried and cured Sennelier oil PAINTS as well. When done, after two weeks or so, simply apply the Sennelier D’Artigny Oil Pastel Fixative, and you are ready to sell or give away your work of art. One of THE best art products I have ever used. ... show more
