If you are looking for a good selfy drone you may want to keep looking. This was a great disappointment. It does not control well. Weather you tell it to go forward or backwards it will only go backwards. Was hoping to use this on a cruise to get a shot from our balcony but wouldn't be able to trust it to come back. It will not connect to newer cellphones so we have to carry an older phone just to control the drone. Could have gotten a drone with it's own controller if I had known that. Four minutes from the time you turn it on connect it to the phone via WiFi, connect it to the app and get it in the air only leaves you with about 2-2.5 minutes of flight time. You better have control of it it 19% battery because it is coming down. No where near enough time to get it in the air, frame your shot, take it and get it back to you before it is landing itself where ever it happens to be. No, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone serious about taking selfies. Oh and did I mention that there's no support from the manufacturer. Well, they give you an email address to request help, but I have been waiting for over a month so don't hold your breath... ... show more

If you want to waste 100 dollars then buy this. Wasn't compatible with one of my phones. Finally got it to work with a Samsung and it doesn't react to commands. After about 3 min the battery depleted when it was fully charged. Went to return and it stated its ineligible to be returned because of flammable liquids?? Absolute scam. I should have listened to the other reviews... Don't buy this. ... show more

Only had a few flights so far but this has exceeded my expectations by far. Don't let the size or the price fool you, this drone is great! It is easy to learn to fly, as a beginner I had it flying around immediately. There are some nice flight control features that I haven't seen in other makes/models, but above all it is my phone case – CRAZY. I own an iPhone X, and I had no problems to connect the app and operate it. The app is completely different than the one I have for my other drone, it is very clean and refined, Video is clear, and latency is almost non-existent. There are minor compression artifacts visible on saved videos but not objectionable for this price level. Drone is super stable, flight time to low battery warning was about 4.5min & you get 2 replicable batteries in the package, very nice design of the battery compartment, you just push the battery in, no need to connect a cable like in my other drone. I’m thinking of getting the compatible docking power bank to have charged constantly. Important issue: When flying, the basic orientation of the drone is when the camera is facing you, anyway there is a headless mode that can manage any confusion about that. About the only "con" I can think of is that the instruction manual was a little hard to find as it was hidden under “Learn SELFLY” in the app together with some tutorials. I haven’t had any big crashes yet, but the durability seems good. As a drone, (and of course as a phone case 😊) it has exceeded my expectations by far. ... show more

This cost a little more than some of the other mini drones but trust me, if you are looking for something really different and this is your first drone, get this one. For me it was already balanced perfectly, something I cannot say is true about other beginner drones I've purchased before. Be careful as a modest wind will quickly take control of your plane and it's a hop & skip into the nearest bush. It is so thin and unique, this thing brings my inner child out and puts a smile on my face - I'm giving this thing 5 stars. ... show more

    • It disregards 80-90% of user input.
This item goes wherever it wants. I tried to use it in an open area, indoors with still air. It completely ignored 80-90% of my input and basically went wherever it wanted. Also (which may be configurable, but was definitely counterintuitive), the controls when flying the device were backwards from the controls of the flight simulator that comes on the app. The flight simulator for training worked well and went right where it was directed. I had to flip my phone around (so the writing and labels were upside down) to get a semblance of direction....but it still went wherever it wanted and crashed when it decided it had had enough.
