Went to Bed Bath & Beyond one day and decided to purchase a shower caddy. Our shower is rather large, but dated and there is just tile, no place to put soap, shampoo and other accessories. I bought a tall, multi-shelf caddy from BB&B. Within three weeks, the plastic clamps that held up the shelves started cracking and shattering, one by one. I forget the manufacturer, but beware of the "easy clamp" features. They are quick to install and adjust but the plastic is very cheap formulation and b-r-i-t-t-l-e. Before the last shelf broke, I purchased a replacement SeiriOne Shower Corner Tension Pole Caddy from Amazon. MUCH BETTER. Come on, it's a shower caddy, not a space ship.. All you need is for it to hold a bunch of stuff and not break. This shower caddy gets all that done. Easy to assemble. The shelf assembly is held up by simple, flexible plastic tension rings. You place the ring where you want the shelf positioned and slide the shelf over the ring and wiggle it tight. Done. It's resistant to rust, is very functional and guess what - the shelves stay put and don't break away at 2:35 a.m. with a noise so alarming it will have you reaching for your 9mm pistol. It looks good and there are little hooks to hang razors, wash cloths and loofahs, as well as a soap dish. And, can you believe it, this thing was very sensibly priced, unlike the garbage from BB&B which was not only overpriced but also not returnable because BB&B was closing. This shelf unit looks really nice. There is a lot of space to store my shampoos, conditioners, face scrubs, razors, body wash and lotion etc. Our previous shelf is made from stainless steel but it is not good qualify, and it had a smaller in diameter' pole and smaller end cap, it is not stable . I want to change a new one when I found this item in Amazon, I placed order quickly. This new unit has a larger end cap and sturdy pole, it feels very stable in the place. This was the first time ever that i have invested in a pricier model in hopes that it wouldn't start looking nasty or get rusty quite as quick as the cheap $20 counterparts. In other words I had really high hopes, especially taking all the positive reviews into consideration. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. The item seems to be made of decent matherial and it came with several extensions to fit even with high ceilings. Great festures i suppose. Baskets are faily large and accommodate lots of bottles and other necessities. Unfortunately the main tension rod is not functioning as intended. The main rood needs to be extended and fastened in place with a bolt/screw to stop it from sliding back. No matter how hard i tried to tighten that screw, the rod would not stay in place. It just kept collapsing in on itself and didnt provide enough support to keep itself upright. Wouldnt even hold a single bottle of shampoo before falling over. I bought this for my master bath shower. Although it was easy to install and adjust, it is on the small side. I have big botttles in the shower and although it does hold them, I need more room. The one thing nice I can say is it looks nice. However, two of the parts would not slide together, regardless of the different fit combinations. My late grandfather came to the rescue on this assembly. The valve train boring and polishing tools he willed me allowed me to remove enough material from the inside and outside of the tubes to get them to fit. Come on, guys, having parts that fit together is manufacturing 101 stuff. I think you need to channel a thank you to my grandfather for saving the day. I was super worried it would fall over and wouldn't be sturdy but it is insanely secure! Super easy install with easy to read instructions. No nails or screws, just twist to tighten it to the floor and ceiling. Would definitely recommend especially for the price!
