Color: 3 Guitar Rack
There are some serious pros to this guitar rack and some serious cons. Pros: Made of real, natural hardwood! This is super rare these days. Most "wood" guitar racks aren't really made of actual, real wood. There are pros to the fact that it's made of real wood, like natural grain variations that are visually interesting and beautiful. Plus, energetically, real wood just feels better. Most beautiful guitar rack I have owned thus far. Simple, sleek design that is still interesting to look at and the curves of the design are gorgeous. The spacing between the pegs that separate the guitars is generous, which means you should be able to actually fit 3 guitars, including 3 acoustic guitars. This is not always the case for guitar racks. Often times, the total amount of guitars they say you can fit are that of smaller bodied guitars, such as electric strats and teles. Suddenly your 6 guitar rack only fits 3 acoustics and 1 electric. Can happily report that is not the case with this rack and you can actually fit as many as advertised. The Instructions are relatively easy to follow. Instruction sheet is printed in color which is also very rare for instruction sheets. The tools that are included for assembly come with a cute mini screwdriver that you can easily reuse for other projects. The individual wood parts are nice and sturdy. Less so when put together, which leads us to the cons. Cons: Despite how well you screw the parts together, it is very wobbly and not very sturdy, which means you will need to add something else to it, such as a heavy-duty wood-safe glue, for reinforcement to help keep it together and for it to be less wobbly. Glue is not included. You will likely need two people to assemble it because even though the instructions are easy to follow, the way the various pieces of wood have been cut is nowhere near ideal or straightforward and having an extra person helps to keep tension in order to properly screw the pieces together. Because the wood pieces are not cut well, this also means you may need to oil up some of the screws to avoid them from getting stuck, which definitely happened for me and after adding some oil to it, it was easier to screw in properly. You don't need to buy oil for this, vegetable oil from your kitchen will do the trick. Again, because the wood has not been cut well, this means you will have to try and retry many times to get the nuts and bolts to properly screw together. Approaching from different angles helps. Conclusion: All in all, I still think it's worth getting. It's gorgeous and once you figure out how to properly assemble it, and once a heavy-duty wood-safe glue has been added for reinforcement, it should be sturdy enough. The aesthetics and the fact that it's made of real, natural hardwood is significant and it is why I still rated it 4 stars despite how much of a pain in tuchus it is to assemble and despite the fact that you will need some kind of reinforcement, such as glue, that is not included, to keep it from wobbling. ... show more
