  • Good deal, but sticks out from the wall
Style: 9 Stand
Maybe 4 1/2 stars. I didn't have the problems with the threads that some people complained about, for the most part. Assembly was straight-forward. The other complaints here are valid, but not deal breakers. It does stick out from the wall substantially more than another one I have. The guitars do have to be put in carefully, as in some positions they don't sit right and the head stocks don't fall against the upper rear post. The main thing is that it will hold 9 solid or semi-hollow guitars in a compact space. ... show more

  • It does what I wanted it to do... It does what I wanted it to do...
Style: 7 Stand
I bought this stand PRECISELY because it was inexpensive! I jam in my basement (see pic). I'm not a professional, so I don't need to spend a lot of money on a stand that can survive gigging. What I DO need is a stand that can hold my guitars without falling over. The blue Ibanez was in a tripod style stand that I bumped, the guitar stayed in the stand, but the whole thing fell over and now (unfortunately) there are some chips in the finish. :( Bottom line: it is CHEAP! There are no washers between bolt head/tube and nut/tube. That's why some purchasers 'squished' the tubes when assembling. The upper tube, that captures the guitar necks, can easily be moved to and fro but, in the end, it does what I need it to do! ... show more

  • Size Matters! Size Matters!
Style: 7 Stand
Not a terrible product. I would say it is comparable to the cost. Easy to put together, the fact that it will fold up without having some type of locking mechanism was concerning. I will likely fashion something for it to lock it in position. That being said, it should stay open from the weight of the guitars not being played at he time. It is definitely for 7 electric guitars; I would say 4, maybe 5, acoustics comfortably. It fits my needs and holds my 6 and 12 acoustics, dobro, and will have space for my banjo. I am not sure I would trust it on stage, it is better suited against a wall for studio application. The problem I did have is the image of the dimensions in the pictures. It shows as 20.9" for the length, that is incorrect. It is 33.6" and luckily I was able to squeeze it into the space I had allotted for with some shuffling of other furniture. Overall, I am happy with the product so far. ... show more

  • Complete and Utter Junk. This doesn't even meet bare minimum requirements. Complete and Utter Junk. This doesn't even meet bare minimum requirements.

I thought that since this is an Amazon choice, it can't be that bad, but I was so dead-wrong. The only thing this has going for it is price, but if I knew it would be this bad I would have shelled out money on something nicer (not to mention the fact that I got this ON SALE). The quality of parts is awful. The metal is dented and dinged, the plastic hole covers fall out, the foam on the top is TAPED shut (pictured) , and the foam has indents as if it had things stacked on it prior to my purchase (pictured) . I also removed one of the foam pieces to find RUST on the metal! (pictured). That's unacceptable. The assembly instructions are awful. They give you a bag of bolts, nuts, screws, and washers. No tools are provided so you better have TWO sockets (and ratchets) available for assembly. The instructions are a diagram that labels the parts. No step-by-step, but luckily it's not that complicated. After that, the first thing you'll notice is that the first screws you install just stick out (pictured) . They are screwed into the metal bar with no hole on the other end to go into, just right into the metal. If you tighten too much I'm sure you'll bend it. Second, you'd notice that the upper part that holds the neck leans way too far back. I had to remedy this by putting the folded-up instructions under the joint (as pictured) to hold it at the proper angle. Lastly, for something that is supposed to be "Heavy Duty", its pretty dang flimsy. It wobbles if you tap it with your finger. Oh and also, it's not high enough off the ground to hold my flying V guitar. If you have a flying V, DO NOT BUY. Actually... even if you don't have a flying V you shouldn't buy this. Get something better. Your instruments deserve it. It would cost more in gas and time to return this piece of trash then to just throw it where it belongs. Thanks for scamming me. ... show more

  • If you love your Guitars....get a real guitar stand! If you love your Guitars....get a real guitar stand!
Style: 7 Stand
I knew this was a cheap stand when I ordered it....and I got so much less than I expected. Where to start...the foam tubing on the lower supports is 6 inches too short. The guitars don't rest all the way to the end but this the ultimate of designing to a price-point. The screws that attach the lower support bars to the uprights are incredibly small...I'm going to the hardware store to replace them with something with more meat. Rusty parts hidden by foam. The upper crossbar wouldn't fit on the uprights for three reasons, 1) big burrs inside the tubing, 2) they were bent past 90 degrees so wouldn't line up and 3) the tube ends weren't even round. 10 minutes in the garage fixed all that but why? This will never leave my loft and it does give me access to all my guitars without have to dig into cases and gig bags so it meets the bare minimum requirements for a guitar stand. Do yourself a favor and spend more to get a much better stand. ... show more

  • Great for home use, not for touring.
Style: 7 Stand
Very easy to install (comes in a few large parts), sturdy, simple design that protects even nitro finishes! I have high end Fender Custom Shops and PRS Custom core guitars with very delicate nitrocellulose finishes and never an issue with this stand. Any nitro finish is soft so if overly concerned, put a microfiber towel down under the guitar touch points. It sits up nicely on any floor, even carpet, but realize your guitars will lean into this unit so allow a little space behind it if against a wall. It hold electrics and acoustics of most shapes and sizes, but note it is not easily adjustable. If you use each slot, your guitars will be snug so use care pulling in and out as there are no dividers except up near the headstock. I saw a few questions about portability or using at gigs....this is NOT designed to be taken down and transported to gigs or tough enough for the road. They make other portable versions of these that are sturdier and collapse down into a suitcase size portable case for gigs. For the price paid, this is a good value and nice product to leave in a music room or practice studio. It is of good quality but don't expect high end at this price. If you plan to treat this rough or move it often, this might not be the product for you. I managed to rid my practice space of 8 individual guitar stands and now every guitar is in one small area against a wall looking very professional. I highly recommend it! ... show more

Very solidly manufactured and functional guitar rack. It was a snap to put together and really made more efficient use of the area where I had my guitars on individual stands. I also like that I can remove pegs to accommodate guitar cases, which is why I got the 9 position. I highly recommend this rack, especially at a price point just shy of $52. ... show more
