It is not automatic. Hope you don’t find out after the watch stops working that it is a battery watch and it’s too late to return. Amazon and the 3rd party are not going to help you

Stunning watch! Absolutely gorgeous! I had to return it due to the fact that my wrist is too small. Oh how I wish it came in half the size. The face with the diamonds spells elegance! Don’t hesitate to purchase this watch. And . . . It’s a Seiko, a brand of excellence!

I like this watch a lot. Nice big numbers and so easy to read and it keeps perfect time. I like the thinness of it as it hugs my wrist. Adjusting the fit was easy to do, too. I am very pleased with my choice! Great value, too as Seiko is one of the best watch brands.
