You really can't beat Seiko for affordable quality time pieces. I had this exact watch many years ago and lost it or misplaced it somewhere in the course of many moves. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was offered by Amazon at a more reasonable price than JCP or a jewelry store. The white background and large letters make is easy to read and it's nice to have the date. This is a very nice watch and meets all of our expectations. The band was too large but with the correct tool it was easy to remove enough links to make it a good fit. The auto wind is a great feature, better I think than having to replace batteries.

I love this watch! It says you can dress it up or down. But this is more a dress watch, not a jeans watch. If you like to be dressy on a daily basis, then this is a good bet. Again, prettier in person than in the picture. I really want to keep this watch. But I cannot see the second hand at all, and have to strain to read the dial without my glasses. Relutctant to return it, but numbers on face are too small for me to read without my glasses. Good price for a beautiful watch. SEIKO, please make this in a 28 mm case with silver face and withOUT the date feature at the 3 oclock setting, and with Roman numerals to complete the dress up feel. ... show more

The one star is for the company that sold me this watch, not the Seiko watch, which is an extremely fine watch. I sent the watch back immediately because it was not the watch I wanted nor was it the one that was shown on the web. I was having a hard time finding that particular watch, could not, and assumed that the web was a true illustration of what I was looking for… It was not. I love Seiko watches, and will always buy them, but not from this retailer with the retailer putting up a picture of a watch they did not sell. ... show more

The watch looked lovely on the website. I had a Seiko watch which I lost and this was a replacement. The only disappointment I got when I opened the box was that it was much smaller than the one I lost. It would have been nice to know how large or small it was.
