I always wanted a nice field watch and this is the one to get. It looks great for all occasions and keeps time very well. It’s a well made watch, but I upgraded the band to a Barton band which is much more comfortable than the original that came with it. Highly recommended!

I like the bead-blasted finish. I like the 39.4 mm case size. I like the matte black dial. I like having a day-date function. I like the brightness and duration of the lume. I like the clear back. I like the drilled lugs. I don’t like the chunky 13.2 mm thickness. I don’t like how it takes forever for the day-date to change. I don’t like the Hardlex crystal. Not too long after getting the watch, it suddenly started to run slow. I tried de-magnetizing it myself and keeping it fully-wound, but nothing worked. It’s a shame. I would wear it more often if it were at least slightly faster. I wore it while crawling around on the ground before, and it didn’t seem to develop too many noticeable scratches at least. I definitely prefer the bead-blasted finish for a field watch over brushed and polished steel. The dial has a nice texture, but its black color isn’t as dark as I want, and so some strap colors will overpower the dial when normally almost any strap would look nice with a black dial. ... show more

This watch is just great. Rugged, reliable, and keeps better time than others costing 20 times as much. Best of all, it can be worn without all the anxiety that comes with wearing an expensive timepiece. Nice size for the average adult male wrist. If it were any larger, I'd probably grumble about its size. It is a bit tall, and made more so by the design of the thick canvas strap that passes under the watch back. The watch itself is styling, but the functionality is a joke. I purchased this watch for a nice automatic field watch. I wound it, set it and let it run... Within 1 week, the movement is already FUBAR. It runs stupidly fast; I mean so fast from me setting it to the correct time and going to bed, it was off by about 8 hours. I can't even return the damn thing because of the policy, so I'm stuck w/ a hunk of junk in my watch storage case because it cost too much to repair vs. what I paid for it. ... show more
