Such a great watch. The lines are great. The size is perfect. The weight is exactly what you want it to be. The subtle knurling on the crown feels great. Get yourself a rubber and leather strap and you could wear this in almost any occasion.

Big beast, no doubt, yet it doesn’t sit tall on my wrist. It is heavy though. Just a total beast of a watch…very pronounced, yet in a small way, subtle. I love the thing. It’ll only look better with some use and it is a unique looking diver with its case edges and the way it almost has a pillow Willard type of effect when it sits on the wrist. It’s extremely legible with the sword hands…and the dial has a beautiful waffle board texture to it that really adds a warmth to it. Buy it, you won’t regret it. ... show more

Absolutely gorgeous diver especially for the price. The texture on the dial is beautiful, the lume glows bright and starts glowing easily, the bezel turns easily and with very satisfying clicks, and the crown is very easy to use for someone like me with larger hands. Wouldn’t buy off amazon unless it’s on an aggressive sale but it’s really a great watch I daily wear it and it keeps quite good time when wound and worn daily. It is definitely a larger watch even for a diver so be aware of the size before you purchase.

The Samurai is amazing. It looks so good on my husband's wrist (7.5 inch). Its the perfect size at 44mm diameter. With its angles and size it really looks like a watch a man should wear. He absolutely adores it. I was a bit worried he wouldn't like the gray portion of the bezel (knowing that all his other divers and chronos have either black or blue inserts.) I took a chance though. I got it for him to wear on an upcoming family trip overseas. He is slowly moving into wearing it more often, (only wearing it about 1 day on the weekend). It hasn't replaced his Seiko Turtle as (as he calls it) his Go Anywhere Do Anything "GADA" watch, just yet. But I have a feeling it will. Since it's the plain version (Malaysia made??) he told me he expected the chapter ring and bezel alignment to be off a bit, but it looks good to me and he is very happy with it. My first impression of this watch was, WOW(!), is this watch ever heavy, and large. So heavy and large that I immediately wanted to send it back. However, by the next day, and after careful deliberation, I took it to my local jeweler and had the watch fitted to my wrist, and have been wearing it ever since. The jeweler stated that the weight was because it is so well made, "Made in Japan" on the watch dial, and pretty much indestructible, and will last a very long time. So I am keeping it! So do not let the weight and size fool you, it "is" a keeper! You won't regret purchasing this watch. ... show more
