An extremely comfortable watch to wear with great aesthetics. Build quality inline with what you would expect from Seiko and the price is very reasonable. Only minor complaint is that the lume is applied to the hour/minute hand and 12 o'clock indice only. Which doesn't make it impossible to tell time at night but does leave room for error. The positive reinforcement is the lume is very good and quite responsive to daylight or bright room lighting. This isn't a Grand Seiko, of course, but it's a great looking watch with all the features most would be satisfied with and with the Japanese movement, it's more than accurate for most wearers. After all, Seiko manufactured and introduced the first quartz watch in 1969. The ion-coated bezel (a gunmetal appearance more so than "black") is a nice contrast to the overall appearance of the watch. Setting the date is a breeze as the mechanism doesn't require you rotate the crown ten times for progression. Very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

I currently have a Tag Heuer Gulf Edition, but I wanted a sporty watch for daily wear that was somewhat similar. This is a really nice watch, but I didn't like the feel of the band at all. I have small wrists so the end of the band sticks out a lot and looked terrible on me. If you have big wrists, this won't be a problem. I swapped it out for a gray leather band that was shorter and it really compliments the face of the watch. We shall see how it holds up over time, no pun intended. Very comfortable. I like that Seiko has this designed with the ability to size the wrist band yourself. It comes with a small tool and you can remove the links on your own. So once I received it I had it sized up correctly within a half hour. For design I feel that the watch looks great in any light. It has many points and details that catch light and shimmer. It’s a man’s watch so I don’t want to say it’s pretty per say, but it is eye catching. The green is a bit darker than I expected, but it fits the design just fine. While the bracelet is easy for the user to adjust, changing the battery sounds more difficult and the instructions don’t have a section on that other than telling you to have a professional do it. I feel like that should be an easy task for the end user. Now some things that I’m not particularly happy about. The only parts that light up with luminescence in the dark are the hour and minute hands, and one spot at twelve o’clock. I would be happier if 3, 6, and 9 had a little spot of luminescence as well. I think my biggest gripe is that for just shy of $200 I believe a watch should have sapphire Crystal. As I’m a bit new to buying more expensive watches I’m discovering more that it seems you have to get closer to the $500 price point to get a watch with a sapphire crystal. Personally I think that’s ridiculous. I have a fairly labor intensive career and so I’m a bit concerned about wearing it to work. Overall I am happy with my purchase. First off, let me start by saying that I've always wanted a real Seiko chronograph, since I was a little kid. I never bought one before because of my tendency to be rough on easily breakable accessories like timepieces combined with the fact that it costs a minimum $100-200+ to buy a new watch that isn't absolute garbage that stops keeping time after the first week. So I've been browsing Amazon and window shopping for watches once or twice a week for the last year until finally I came across this one. Something about it really just caught my attention and wouldn't let go of it. It just had everything I wanted in a watch. The sharp glean of stainless threw light off of it to catch the eye, but wasn't flashy and gawdy like a diamond set watch or gold plated band looks. It has chronograph which I've always wanted in a nice watch, as much for the aesthetic value of it as for the functionality. The subtle red and blue accents are just enough variation to break up the watch face and keep it from looking too generic, but they are also stainless as well so they look right at home while adding to that sharp glint the face throws in the light. It has a silicone band, and that was a huge selling point for men. I like the look of stainless steel bands until a month into owning them after they've been scuffed and scratched to oblivion. And then it was on sale on top of all of it, so I just got this feeling that this was the watch for me. Its refreshing to seek out a specific brand of a certain product for such a long time and actually not be disappointed once I finally get one of my own, as I've experienced with many other premium brand products. Seiko does not disappoint one single bit in any aspect of this watch, though. They are a brand that upholds an uncommon level of ingenuity in their products compared to most in this day and age, and I would recommend this watch to anyone. ... show more
