    • A nice Automatic, good value for the money

This is the first automatic watch I've ever bought myself. I think I had one when I was a kid, but I remember never wearing it, as digital watches were huge back then. After dozens of G-shocks and other digital watches, I got a Casio Duro dive watch a few years ago and absolutely loved it. I've been looking for an orange-dialed dive watch ever since, and as soon as I saw this Seiko, I pulled the trigger. The watch looks great - lots of style points and easy to read. I ended up changing the stock band to a black silicone one, and the watch looks less luxury and more sporty. The watch feels nice on the wrist - not too big, not too small. It's a dive watch, so no problem in the water. Complaints? It's a mechanical watch - you have to wear it or wind it every couple days or it stops. As someone who owns multiple watches and wears different ones day-to-day, this is difficult for me. I'll reach for the Seiko after not having worn it for a few days, and have to wind it and adjust the time and date - kind of a pain to do every time I want to wear it. The other bad thing? Accuracy, A mechanical watch typically varies as many seconds in a day as a quartz watch varies in a month. Even if I keep the watch wound and running every day, after a week it's off by a couple minutes. I use my watches to tell the time, not just for jewelry - so having an accurate timepiece is important to me. I still like this watch a lot, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in an entry-level Seiko. That being said, I don't think I'll be buying another mechanical watch. ... show more

I know this Seiko 5 watch is not comparable to Swatch Blancpain Artic Ocean which a fashion watch. But this watch is much durable (plastic vs metal), solid, stylish, and the price point is way better. Let see if it will last.

Great fit and finish of watch. Always was a Seiko fan! Love the aesthetics overall. Delivered right in time. I wanted to love this watch so much. I understand it’s not the most high end watch out there but mine personally struggles to keep time over a couple days I literally will lose 2min~ which I feel is unacceptable from this brand! The automatic movement is less than impressive in my particular watch. I almost feel like I got a defective one that shouldn’t have passed quality control. Mine struggles to hold “charge” for 12 hours of no use, plus doesn’t hold time very accurately, and worst part is with watch off looking at the clear back of movement I literally can see the auto movement getting “hung up” or stuck at times as I manipulate watch around. Such a shame to me because I know it’s no Rolex but to me seiko has always been my go to brand were I’m ecstatic about each one I purchase. May have to hold off on the gmt until I hear back from manufacturer now. Still love the brand though! ... show more
