Well made, keeps time accurately and looks great. Really like the green color. Just an FYI the day of the week marker is in English and Spanish (so for Saturday it reads SAT for the first 12 hrs and SAB for the last 12 hrs)

Had been wanting an SKX for some time and this is basically the same thing without the dive rating. I don't need the dive rating, and this went on a sale for Black Friday so I finally pulled the trigger. This thing is nice. Fits well on the wrist. The band is easy to adjust. The weight is solid but not overbearing like some other watches I own. Been fairly accurate so far as well. Definitely going to be my new daily driver. The lume on this thing is no joke as well. I went to bed and 8 hours later it was still readable. Also, pics seem to make the lume look blue for some reason. It's actually green. UPDATE: I've had this for 5 months now and I still love it. I've bought a bunch of different bands to use with it, and unfortunately the spring system broke on one of the stock spring bars when I pressed it a bit hard trying to get it out. You just need a thicker spring bar as a replacement if you want to use the included band again (which I go back to often). I've been pretty consistently -15 seconds a day. It gains time if I leave it off at night, but I sleep with it on. Adjusting the time every few days isn't really a big deal for me and considering +/- 45 seconds is the spec for this movement I'm not mad. Definitely worth the purchase. No issues so far with scratching the PVD coating. Everything still looks as good as when I got it. ... show more

I've been looking for a new watch to replace my daily wear Bullova chrono. So far this Seiko 5 seems like a very nice watch that you dont need to baby. Exactly what I was looking for. I've only worn it for the first day and looks to be about -5 sec/day so far. Better than I expexted actually and it looks great with the included bracelet. Removing a couple links to size was easy, the band has arrows stamped into the links to show the direction the pins come out. I haven't tried my NATO or leather bands yet, but should look great being a field watch. ... show more

I recently purchased the SRPD59 watch, and I’m really impressed with its design and functionality! The striking orange sunray dial is not only eye-catching but also easy to read thanks to the LumiBrite hands and markers. The 4R36 caliber movement ensures accurate timekeeping, and I appreciate the self-winding feature—definitely a bonus for anyone who wants a reliable timepiece without constantly fiddling with batteries. Plus, the 100M water resistance means I can wear it confidently, whether I’m out for a swim or caught in the rain. However, I did encounter a bit of a challenge when it comes to setting the time. The lugs around the crown make it somewhat difficult to grip, which can be frustrating. A crown with sharper edges would significantly improve the usability and make adjusting the time much easier. Bought this watch as my first automatic watch. I was excited that it was also an in-house automatic movement. Since then, I have purchased several other automatic watches. This was certainly my gateway into collecting. It’s a fantastic value for the money. I have recommended this watch to other individuals who are looking to purchase their first automatic watch. My wrists are on the smaller side and felt that the fit was perfect. It’s worth noting this is a fairly cheaper model from Seiko so the movement isn’t the most accurate. Although, I think it’s accurate enough for the money. One of the best things about this watch is that there is a large community for aftermarket parts and straps if you wish to modify it. I personally purchased two other straps that I preferred over the stock bracelet. The stock bracelet is probably the lowest quality aspect of the watch. Can’t recommend this watch enough. Day and date function work well. Good bezel action. Good case material. Easy to set. Comfortable to wear. ... show more

Before I bought the watch, I was skeptical about the size and how it would look, but it fit nicely. What I liked: - Size: the 42mm size was perfect for my 6.8in wrist. Not too big, not heavy and wears nicely. - Movement: Quality movement, can feel the “clickeness” of the crown winding, accurate. - Color: Mesmerizing deep green dial and bezel, but looks almost black when not exposed to light. To me, I feel like it adds variety to the color. What I don’t like is the bracelet - dull looking on top of the links being shaky and unsturdy but the clasp is nice and secure. Wouldn’t consider the bracelet an issue as it wears great. Overall: Still 5/5, perfect fit and a beautiful color. Would consider buying another color. ... show more
