I think the SRPE51 is one of the best SRPEs, because of its beautiful sunburst gray dial. It's got a 40mm diameter, and I think this is one of the most versatile case diameters for most wrist sizes. The pictures show it on my 7" wrist. The 4 o' clock crown position keep the crown from pushing into your hand if you wear it low, it also looks different than the usual 3 o' clock crowns, which is common. It has a display case back and the Seiko movement is beautiful as expected. The bottom of the case has a nice rounded shape, which makes it really comfortable on the wrist. No sharp edges on this watch. You can hack it and hand wind it. It has, I think, a 41-hour power reserve (the time it continues ticking when not worn). Despite being 40mm, it feels smaller.     • Nice watch and is a great value
I've had this watch for a few weeks now and I've been very happy with it. It was easy enough to remove links to fit my wrist. I have a smaller wrist and this sits nicely and looks appropriate. The fit and finish are very nice. The low-ish power reserve is a bit annoying, but I knew the reserve when I bought the watch. I have not tested the water resistence. The dial is very easy to read. However I have found that I am not a fan of the dots in place of numbers. Next time I would go with a watch with traditional numbers. Still giving this watch 5 stars because the issues that I have with it are all clear and up front. Just points to consider if you choose this watch. ... show more

The DressKX. Seiko enthusiasts will know. It’s a Seiko, so you’re getting a relatively robust movement that’s typically more accurate than the specs Seiko advertises, and you’re getting Seiko’s penchant for design. This one is just simple and beautiful. Nice polished bezel with dive watch indices and a subtle but striking gray sunburst dial. It’s a steel sports watch that you can get away with dressing up in all but very formal situations. Lots of complaints about the bracelet. I personally don’t have an issue with it. Yeah, hollow end links, but looks fine. Modders just want an excuse to mod. Mine is about +5ish daily for accuracy. Definitely has a some Tudor Black Bay vibes going. I’m a fan. ... show more

I love how it looks on the wrist. Wears small for a 40 mm in my opinion. I’ve had it for a week now and have received several compliments. It looks sporty with a classic touch. I’m digging this watch a lot for an everyday wearer. Accurate within 5 seconds per day so far.

    • Used merchandise, poorly packed too!!
First - I was very surprised that the soft cardboard watch box came in an light paper “envelope”, and not a protective box. So the Seiko packaging box, that holds the watch box and user manual inside was crushed in several places. There was no warranty card that I saw, but perhaps it is located in the manual. Secondly, and most importantly, the watch was used! There were abrasions on the band and deeper ones especially at the 9 position on the case! So this was worn and knocked into things for several days by the prior owner - before I received it. Very disappointing!! There was dust all around the crystal, in the thin, curved air space between the bezel and crystal. The protective plastic tape was all messed up and dirty - meaning it had been removed, placed on a dirty surface and later reinstalled at least one time, perhaps more. The tape pieces had lost much of their adhesive properties - so were just floating around the box. I don’t write many reviews, but this was an unusually bad experience. While the price was good, the watch’s condition and presentation was poor. I am sending it back! Nicely designed watch, but I wish it had better accuracy - lost 10 - 15 seconds per day. But you can’t expect much accuracy from a mechanical watch at this price point. If it had the same aesthetics - but much better accuracy, I’d pay more for it! ... show more
