Impressed with the quality of this snorkel set. The dry top snorkel is fantastic for building confidence in youngsters just starting out. The mask fit my 8 year-old "granddaughter" (a friend's, not my own) well and didn't leak. I like that the mask has tempered glass lenses which are much more clear than the plastic typically found in kid's snorkel gear. The flippers were able to be adjusted to her foot size (youth 3) and the silicone mouthpiece is soft enough to not to be abrasive inside her mouth. A couple of things I didn't like - first, the mask did fog. There is truly no anti-fog coating from production that will prevent this all together. I recommend the spit, rub & swirl method to combat this. Next, the clip that holds the snorkel to the mask isn't tight enough to stay connected, so the snorkel kept disconnecting from the mask. As it is plastic, there was no way to tighten it. A thick rubberband (like the kind that comes with asparagus) solved the issue by looping over the snorkel, behind the mask strap and back over the snorkel. For a beginner set, this is absolutely a great find, but wish it had a different method of connecting the snorkel to the mask. ... show more

This set is the perfect combo; it comes with a high-quality silicone mask, a snorkel, flippers, and a handy carrying bag. The mask lets you see clearly underwater and is pretty comfortable, but it sometimes leaks. The snorkel and flippers are well made and work great. I bought the blue set for a boy, and he won't wear the mask because it's pink. They should've had solid blue or black on the mask part. I do have the pinkish set of this for the girls, which is why I got the blue for the boy. The flippers are buckles, as opposed to slip ons. That's hard to use for the age range this is meant for. I was very surprised at the quality of this set. My 8 year old daughter loves the fins. They fit her perfectly with room to grow. She is in a shoe size big kids 1. The fins stayed on and didn't come off during use. The mask fits well and no leakage. The snorkel is great for beginners. If you are getting this as a "first" snorkle set for a youngling, I think this will work - my 5 yr old wanted a mask like my US Divers Look mask that I've owned since gosh forever ago, so I picked this up for him. The strap is silicone just like my mask so I know it will hold up - mine is 24 years old. The fins are perfect for my 3 ft tall son - they aren't super huge diving fins like I have - so there's that. The color could be for anyone - the colors are neutral in my opinion, my son likes it. I think the only thing that I've noticed about clear masks is - if you leave them in the son they tend to yellow - my mask is all black silicone. This mask is clear silicone except for the light blue head strap. The snorkle has the wave guard valve, and the mouth piece valve, which are great for actually snorkling. But if someone has never used them before - please supervise them - my 5 yr old is still learning how to swim and I directly supervise him at all times. It's a great set I think, the fin straps are just like my scuba fin straps from 24 years ago - they have the buckle type snap that is easy to release - once you have the length set all you have to do is unclip the strap and reclip when you put them back on. I think this set is a great set - and the price is really warranted for the quality of the set. ... show more

This is such a great set, I'm really impressed with the quality of the tempered glass goggles, I grew up with cheap plastic lenses that got scratched to pieces so to have glass for my kids is really nice. They all love to wear them, they fit them all well and leak only on the smallest child because he does not let me put them on him properly. the snorkel works well too! I love snorkeling around in our local river and the kids are thrilled that they can do it now too. They also really have been liking swimming with fins, they're funny to walk in but so much easier to swim in that just your feet and they like pretending to be merfolk. This is a really affordable, quality set and definitely a good choice. ... show more
