  • RANDOMLY STOPPED WORKING
Capacity: 2TB Style: Standard
Purchased this 2TB external hard drive for my husband about 9 months ago. Up until yesterday, it worked just fine. It did help ease up space on the internal drive so the xbox ran smoothly, but now it does not work at all so its basically trash. Nothing happened to the drive to cause this malfunction (ie no power surge, damage, water exposure, etc). Xbox does not recognize the drive at all. Plugged it into the computer to reformat (and lose everything) in order for it to work, and the computer doesn't recognize it either. Purchased a new cable to rule that out, and nope. Went online to Seagate for support, and for some reason when I enter the serial number and product number, it states that it is unknown. Read reviews online that after some time this happens to a lot of people for no reason. This device is far too expensive to have to replace on a 6mo-yearly basis. Very very disappointed in this purchasing and would highly recommend people look elsewhere for an external drive- at least a drive made by a company that will provide support. If this is resolved I will update my rating to 5 stars as before it randomly bit the dust it worked fine. ... show more

  • Seagate does not honor warranties, stay away from this.
Capacity: 4TB Style: Standard
Do not buy this product as Seagate does not honor the warranty. Product bought on 3/25/18, went to register it and it says it is out of warranty even though the box claims a two year warranty. Contacted Seagate and provided documentation of the purchase and they updated the warranty to be valid though 3/26/18. A 1 day warranty is what they gave me. Stay away or be disappointed. ... show more

  • Don't waste your money!
Capacity: 4TB Style: Standard
I bought this product on May 24th, and after seeing mixed reviews I decided to take a chance and get the 4TB one for my Xbox One. I thought I was getting an amazing deal for $118 and some change. I set it up and made sure to take care of it. It's in the open where it won't overheat from staying inside a cabinet. It's not near any of the Xbox fans, and it certainly isn't on top of anything that could heat up and cause damage to it. After a few days it crashed and I lost everything that installed on it. I contacted amazon and they instantly sent me a new one and had me send the faulty one back. This is the only reason I gave it 2/5 stars instead of 1/5. I am writing this as of August 22nd which is now almost exactly 3 months since I bought the device and it died on me as of a month ago. It isn't being recognized by my Xbox, various friends Xbox's, and my computer. I traded out the USB for a brand new one in hopes that it was just a bad USB but sadly that hasn't helped either. Overall, it was not worth the money spent, and the headaches that came with it. ... show more

  • Saved my social life
Capacity: 8TB Style: Standard
Ok this is a game changer, before I purchased this 8 terabyte usb hub my storage was always getting full and I had to keep uninstalling and reinstalling games in order to enjoy them but that was horrible, having to tell my friends “I don’t have it installed” or “I have to install it” on games that we enjoyed was horrible I was always embarrassed whenever my friends played a game that I had but I had to uninstall it to install another game we played and I just got sick of it so I decided to splash some cash on this bad boy and let me tell you it was one of the best decisions I’ve made, this hub is amazing first of all the 8 Terabyte storage is just monumental and the extra 2 usb slots come in handy an unbelievable amount of times for me so this hub is a well worth buy in my opinion. ... show more

  • Doesn't support xboxone series x games.
Capacity: 8TB Style: HDD
This is completely useless. This doesn't support xbox series x games you can download them buy they need to be moved to the internal storage of the series x to play series x games making this completely useless imo. You can still download games for regular Xbox one, or 360 games and play them but just not series X which makes no sense to me... wtf is the point of this trash? ... show more

  • Don't throw away your original packaging
Capacity: 2TB Style: Standard
Worked great for about a month, at which point it began to corrupt the files of every game installed on it. The games would start up, freeze, then when I exited out and restarted they would hang at the title screen and I would get an error for corrupted game data. Reformatting the drive did not work. Installing the games directly onto the Xbox hard drive afterwards worked perfectly, so it is not a problem with the Xbox. The original packaging is required (serial numbers, etc.) for warranty returns, so unfortunately I've thrown $90 down the drain. ... show more

  • Massive amount of storage.
Capacity: 8TB Style: Standard
I connected the Game Hub to my Xbox One S and transfered 48 of my games in preparation of my XBOX 1 X's delivery in November. Once formated you will have 7.2tb of storage. After I transferred my games I was left with 6.2tb remaining. It's somewhat weighty...which I expect and the two USB ports will come in handy for charging controllers or gaming headset. This game hub will future proof you on storage for years to come. Also the Game Hub runs at 7200rpm. I did notice a slight difference with minor increase in load times when playing games. So...if you have a xbox one x preorder. I suggest moving your games to it before you connect this hub to it. It took 4hrs to transfer my 48 games from Xbox One S 2tb internal HDD. ... show more

  • $400 hurts my wallet but an evil requirement.
Capacity: 2TB Style: Series X|S Expansion Card
$400 seems like a lot for 2TB and it is a lot of money. If you look at current cost for gen 4 nvme drives today it’s pretty on par. In the future prices could go down. I grabbed it before it was sold out and it’s worth having as much storage even if I don’t need it today so that im set for years to come. It’s a painful purchase but my future self 3-4yrs from now will probably be thanking me or kicking myself when this type of fast storage is half the price in 2025. ... show more
