  • 2TB is VERY misleading from the truth
Capacity: 2TB Style: Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S
Feel like I got taken for a ride with this one, this is a far cry from 2TB. The correct size for 2 TB to properly report as 2GB would be 1024 bytes * 1024 KB * 1024 MB * 1024 GB... some HDD manufacturers fudge this by making it 1000GB per TB, but at least give you 1000 full ACTUAL Gigabytes aka 1024 bytes * 1024 KB * 1024 MB * 1000 GB (which then is reported as about 931GB per TB) ... but no, they actually went EXTRA fake with these... this expansion card actually only reports 1.8TB of storage capacity on Xbox Series consoles... where did a full 10% of the advertised storage capacity go?! Well it's quite simple... if you COMPLETELY ignore 1024 being the official way to measure ANY storage capacity, and just give the user: 1000 bytes * 1000 KB * 1000 MB * 1000 GB... you get about 909 ACTUAL Gigabytes per TB Problem is: NONE OF THESE WAYS OF MEASURING BYTES ARE CORRECT. 1 KB is 1024 bytes, not 1000 1 MB is 1024 KB, not 1000 1 GB is 1024 MB, not 1000 and 1 TB is 1024 GB, not 1000 For a storage medium as EXTREMELY expensive as this, it's infuriating to see that I did not get anywhere CLOSE to thr advertised storage space for this... So, despite the product being the highest class expansion drive available, and being as fast as internal storage NVMe, much like what they did with the storage capacity, I have to cut 10-20% off what could have been a 5 star rating... give me 100% of the 2TB and I'll give you 100% of the rating that would come along with it, deal? ... show more

  • Expensive but it's worth it
Capacity: 2TB Style: Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S
I would give it 5 stars but, cost a lot money! I bought the 2tb Seagate expansion card for the Xbox Series X. First off. Seagate did a price reduction when Western digital introduced their version of the expansion card at 512gb and 1tb. Western Digital does not have a 2tb version as of 8/31/23. Seagate lower the prices as follow 512gb @$89, 1tb@$149 and 2tb@$279....these are not sale prices, these are the regular prices. If you see it higher than what I listed? You're getting ripped. We still have 4 to 5yrs of games for Xbox Series S/X. The 2tb will carry you a few yrs depending on your gaming habits, whether you buy day one, buy on sale or on Gamepass. No formatting required, no hoping it works....just plug in and boom.....1.8tb of additional storage. Yes, 2tb comes out to be 1.8tb. Nothing preinstalled, no games or pictures. It's well worth it but, MS needs to get the prices lower. 2tb at $279 is a lot. Also, you can play Series X/S games straight from the expansion card. No need to transfer games to the internal. ... show more

  • As advertised
Capacity: 2TB Style: LED HDD
I see a lot of complaints on other reviews but honestly it exactly what it says. External drive intended for Xbox use. Haven't attempted to connect to a PC but given it's Microsoft certified I'd say it probably would work. It's fast. Transfers are quick. A menu pops up letting you customize when it's first plugged in. (Turn off the Xbox completely before connecting it) As for being only 1.8gb in storage this is already common for other drives. Usually restricted space for use by the drive itself for updates and firmware storage. It is what it is Wish I got the 4tb honestly ... show more

  • Great Drive, But Get It On Sale
Capacity: 2TB Style: Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S
Love this drive. Adding 2 TB to my Series X just gives me so much more playability since games are ridiculously large now and need the special Series X architecture to run. Worth it to purchase, absolutely. At this point, it is almost necessary to have an external drive. Worth the price? Sure, I guess. I 100% recommend getting this card on sale, because the price is astronomical. I got this on sale and it was worth it, but I would never have purchased it for the $400 retail that it usually goes for. So, if it goes for a sale in your price rage, buy it for sure. Otherwise, hold out for as long as you can because for nearly the price of a console, this is ridiculous. ... show more

  • Worked as advertised
Capacity: 2TB Style: Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S
I have the Xbox series X and wanted to increase my storage. This was absolutely 100% plug and play. I have already put a lot of data into this and am currently playing Starfield off of this expansion drive. Plays perfect with ZERO issues. It's expensive but I wanted a no hassle solution. This has proven to be solid. ... show more

  • Works as expected but obviously very overpriced
Capacity: 2TB Style: Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S
You'll find that even with the Series X it's really easy to run out of storage when games can be over 100gb. So finally got sick of deleting and reinstalling games and just got this. Is it a good deal, absolutely not. It would have been great if they went the same route as the PS5 and used standard hardware. But pricing aside it serves it's function. ... show more

  • 2TB Expansion for Xbox Series X!
Capacity: 2TB Style: Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S
This expansion card is seriously amazing! When I noticed the price drop on the 2TB Seagate Expansion Card for the Xbox Series X (XSX), I just had to snag one. Being able to dive right into my games directly from this Solid State Drive (SSD) is an absolute game-changer. I was tired of the whole back-and-forth hassle of using a hard drive, so expanding my XSX storage with this card was exactly what I needed. Gone are the days of deleting games from my XSX to free up space for new GamePass additions. Thanks to this card (and the existing 1TB in my XSX), I've got room for everything. If you're sitting on a pile of games, this is definitely worth the investment! ... show more

  • A lot of $$$ for such a Tiny Piece of Tech
Capacity: 2TB Style: Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S
Was delivered as scheduled. Came in a tiny box inside a loose plastic Amazon envelope. The two seals on the the box was in place and intact. However, when I got the actual expansion card out, I found the the seal that goes from the clear cap to the expansion card looked as if it was once removed and haphazardly put back in place. I guess I didn’t care that much because 3 seconds later, the card was already inside the expansion slot. Didn’t even bother with pictures. 2 minutes later, I was already moving X/S games from the internal SSD to the expansion card. The card showed about 1.8 TB of useable space. After I moved about 12 to 15 X/S games over it, I have already used 25% of the card. Note to self - Better make sure to leave room for Starfield come September. 4 Stars for now as I don’t know if or when it might decide to crap out. ... show more
