I bought 4 at once, was worried at least one if not multiple would be bad or near end of life, but as advertised they're good and with plenty of life remaining. They all pass smart. I'll probably be back for more, best price I could find.

    • 24TB drive failed within 30 days
The drive initially had approximately 35 days of spin time and passed all SMART tests; however, 28 days later, it has failed and makes weird clicking and winding noises. Trying to run any tests on it now takes longer than normal and eventually fails. It's hit or miss with these drives, as I have ordered refurbished drives in the past, and they are still spinning years later. I guess I just got one of the turds. I ordered a bunch of these hard drives and I have no complaints. Yes, this is older tech, so don't expect blazing speeds, but if space for videos / music / pics is what you need them this will more than get the job done. Would give 5 stars, but I have purchased 4 of these. 3 have worked great and one had the sata power connector just fell apart when unplugging to add another drive and hesitate cabling. I mist have just gotten one with a bad connector. I have never had a connector fail in this manner in decades of working with computers. As these are enterprise grade, gentle unplugging should not cause any issues. ... show more

Not only do they function like new, the packaging is better than new drives I've purchased. Ever see a newborn wrapped up in a blanket? This was better. The drive is in a static-free, sealed envelope, with that in a form-fitting, almost hermetically sealed bubble wrap, tightly secured in a box, and that box in the shipping box.
