I simply love this boat. I've owned different watercraft over the years. This is my second kayak but first true paddlecraft. My other kayak is a Hobie Tandem Island, which is also an incredibly capable and fun vessel for longer range trips with other people. So many great things about this little canoe-like conveyance. The stability is outstanding for the beam. The inflatable sides are almost natural outriggers- you can capsize the thing, but it takes much more roll than a hard sided kayak to do it. Once capsized, the inflatable sides are again super useful in re-boarding, as you can just grab the far rail and pull yourself across from the side- no need for a crazy bow or stern entry. This adds a large safety margin and piece of mind. It's also easy to test on an indoor pool since you can just inflate the thing on the spot. Budget for a two-stage electric pump- total gamechanger v. doing it manually, which is about 450 strokes on the supplied pump compared to a few minutes of watching it fill up while you rig everything else. The portability is obviously superior to any other kind of boat. The backpack with just the hull is manageable (barely) to walk for a few hundred yards, or you can put the bag on a kayak cart and roll it. I have paddled mostly open waters- Lake Erie and Lake Michigan included. Tracking and seakeeping are excellent, even with the fixed skeg. The skeg however does complicate handling on land and is not ideal for paddling with a canoe paddle or in high winds. I adapted the Advanced Elements rudder kit (it was easy, just add some d-rings and stainless clips to hold the pedals), which takes a great boat to even another level. - Hull is as stiff as that of a paddleboard. - Handles well in the water. - Low and narrow hull means little splashing of water into the boat. Very satisfied. We paddled on a river. It would be fine in a bay with a small swell.

Wow, this kayak performs almost like a rigid kayak. Not at all like other inflatables I've been using. Really big difference. We can fit 2 adults and one 11 year old kid without problem. Due to lower volume than traditional round inflatables, it's simple and quick to inflate. Well worth the price difference compared to other models.

The media could not be loaded. This kayak really moves when you put the sail kit on it that is available on the internet from a third-party seller. I like the rigidity of the hull. So important for sailing.
