Description

The V7 makes it easier than ever for your engineer to get an amazingly full, rich sound with minimal processing, so you always sound your very best.ALL- METAL HOUSING & BEVELED SPRING STEEL GRILLE The V7's road-ready design is all metal - no plastic parts here. The chassis' high quality, highly durable zinc alloy is designed to hold up under on-stage stress for years, and the spring steel mesh grille is dent-proof and corrosion-free for perfect reliability. Also, see that beveled edge around the grille? That prevents your mic from rolling around when you put it down on top of your amp or the stage floor. (It's the little things that count.) The V7's gold-plated XLR connector also ensures a loss-free and reliable signal connection for years to come.INTERNAL WINDSCREEN Efficiently reduces unwanted wind noise and plosive pops....and just in case you don't like our stylish "sE Red" color, we've included a spare black windscreen in the box for you.INNOVATIVE, SPECIALIZED ALUMINUM VOICE COIL The DMC7 dynamic element in the V7 has been custom-developed for a crisp, open sound that perfectly captures your voice in the most natural way you've ever heard on stage - and its sophisticated supercardioid capsule design helps isolate your voice from other instruments, ensuring vast amounts of gain before feedback. Proven Neodymium magnets, tight production tolerances & high- end workmanship ensure excellent sensitivity, superior sound quality and superb consistency.PATENTED INTEGRATED SHOCK MOUNT The V7's brand new, patented shockmount efficiently decouples the capsule from mechanical vibration, providing exceptionally low handling noise as compared to other mics in its class. This means you can feel free to move around on stage without fear of rumbles, pops, or anything other than your voice coming through.

Husband loves the mic and the long cord for his music

THE PERFECT ALTERNATIVE TO SHURE SM58 OR SENNHEISER 835
Ten years ago, I owned a recording studio where we used sE microphones. Most of those were large-diaphragm, condenser mics of $1,000+ dollars and they were wonderful, exceptional microphones. But back them, they weren't making dynamic cardioids. I was using Shure, Sennheiser, and AKGs. I just got this mic about a week ago and I am SOLD! The build quality is like a Sherman tank. It's heavy, but no heavier than the Shure or Sennheiser version. It has a clear, refined character to it, with great off-axis rejection and a nice, focused field. The proximity effect is also very good without being boomy or muffled. Just an exceptional mic. If I was still a touring musician, I would suggest that these would be the vocal mics for the entire group. ... show more

Awesome microphone
This has become my favorite microphone. Very comparable to the SM 58, for my voice type, which is tenor baritone. The frequency range is perfect and sounds phenomenal. I absolutely love this microphone, it also looks amazing with the red under mesh. I also like the octagon shape around the ring of the mesh so if you set the mic down on something, it does not roll away and fall. ... show more

Great package and a great microphone. This is the 7th SE we own and they serve incredibly well.

Does a fine job adequately representing my angelic voice
This is a crisp and clear microphone. I am not a professional singer or a professional musician. I am hardly even an audiophile, but I do like to jam and sing on the weekends, and a microphone from one of those portable karaoke units was all I had to use for a while. This is not that. This is a powerful and resonant mic that sounds great. If it is a beginner microphone I can't imagine a better way to get started. A solid feel and a slight heft also let you know this mic is legit. ... show more

What’s Not To Like?
The microphone itself is great at the price and the added bonus of two twenty-foot cables makes this package a real bargain. Sound-wise the mic is similar to the Sennheiser e835, brighter than the venerable Shure SM58, but not as bright as the Sennheiser e935. I’ve used it so far for vocals and as an acoustic guitar mic and it has done a respectable job for both. The hexagonal metal band on the windscreen is a nice addition and prevents the misfortune of having the mic roll off of flat surfaces. (Been there, done that…bummer.) The built in foam windscreen is minimally effective in outdoor situations, but sufficient for indoor use. Two foam windscreens are included, red, and black, and are easily swapped out. Hand noises through the body of the mic are almost unnoticeable and the in-hand feel is similar to most other pro-grade mics in its class. ... show more

A Musician's Dream
Hands down the best dynamic mic you can get for recording vocals (especially for music). No worries about background noise, and you'll leave everyone floored with how crisp it sounds! No wonder this is used all the time in live settings!
