I was looking for a good container to keep my SD cards in for my car stereo. I wanted something solid, easy to open and easy to see if it dropped to the floor. I looked at a lot of diff cases and decided to roll the dice on this one. I'm mostly pleased. The locking mechanism is secure but still opens easily. The SD pockets are snug without you needing to crowbar out the cards. The variety of colors is a nice addition - I went with the blue to contrast against the interior color of my car. They interchange 'waterproof' and 'weatherproof' in the text. For me, weatherproof is more than enough and it is that. Waterproof...not so much. I took it into my pool and pushed it down in the deep end (about 8') and let it surface. There was water in the chambers. I can't say I'm surprised - I used to dive and the containers I used had a MUCH tighter snap than this has and a more robust gasket. I believe the gasket simply isn't being held tight enough at depth. It'll certainly survive a drop into a pool or a puddle but don't plan to submerge it. I docked it a star for this. I suspect it's more a bad translation than a deliberate attempt to deceive.

Most of what I dislike about this case is a matter of personal preference, not a defect in the design of the case. So for build quality and usage, it's fine. It's very sturdy, easy to open and close, and holds 8 cards, which is great. I like the bright yellow color that stands out well among other gear in my bag. There are two things I don't like, and one of these is a deal breaker for me and the reason I'll be purchasing a different case. First, the black compartment inside is made out of a soft plastic. I have other cases which are made out of a more rubberized material. I just prefer the rubber over this plastic insert. The deal breaker is that the compartments are shaped exactly like the SD card, with the diagonal notch at the top corner. Why is this a problem? I am a professional photographer, and when I am on a shoot, I place my empty memory cards face up in the case. When I have filled one and swap it out, I place full card face down. This helps me quickly and easily sort the empty cards from the full ones which need to be downloaded. Having the diagonal notch in the compartment does not let me place the cards face down. Had I noticed that when I was ordering, I wouldn't have purchased this case.

Bought the red Honsky SD card case, and I like it! I recently purchased another digital camera, and more SD cards. I'm tired of all the little single cases floating around my camera bag, so I purchased this case. It is well constructed, using thick plastic and a couple of metal pins. The soft foam that holds the cards is firm enough that they "snap" in and stay there. I can put a fingernail under a card and pry it out easily. Make sure to get under the card, or it might de-laminate! I like that I can store micro-SD cards, too, but haven't tried it. I'm sure the case ISN'T waterPROOF, but I think it would keep out light rain or a quick dunk in a puddle. The clasp clicks lightly shut, but doesn't compress the matching red gasket. It is a bit bulky, but that's ok because I have larger hands and don't like fumbling with tiny things, like single SD card cases!!!

I stupidly assumed this case had 'pages' in it, and would hold more than eight SD cards. That isn't the case. It can hold up to eight micro SD's and up to eight regular-size SD's. That's fine though, it was my own mistake, and eight slots will last me awhile. The case seems tough, and secure with a perfectly color-matched (purple in this case) rubber seal. It's easy to open, and has a little plastic loop on one side so you could secure it to something.

I bought this to store SD cards for my camera when I am out in the field. Case looks nice and feels rugged and seems to provide good protection for the cards. Locking mechanism seems secure. I was a little concerned about the reviews where the reviewers mentioned that they had broken SD cards trying to get them out. I have 6 cards in it right now and they fit snug but not so snug that I feel that I might damage them getting them out. They pop out easily. Maybe there are differences between brands of cards. I am using Lexar professional cards and then I have also tried it with a SanDisk adapter for a microSD card and the fit was good with that one as well. I am not really planning to get this wet as I use it but I wanted to know what it would handle so I ran it under the sink for a bit and then submerged it in the sink briefly. No water leaked in and when submerged it quickly floated back to the surface so for my purposes this works and I have some assurance that if I accidentally drop in the lake that it will not sink to the bottom and it should keep my cards dry long enough for me to retrieve it. I got the yellow color for good visibility. I am pretty happy with it.

Memory card cases are a product category where lots of bad designs are offered. Happily, this model from Honsky is excellent. It's a very protective case, yet not too bulky. The black interior sections are firm plastic, not the spongy material in some other cases — so more durable. The fingertip cutouts are big enough to make card removal easy. Fit & finish are excellent. The lock is easy to open yet secure. There's a strap loop if you need it. The price is very affordable. Nice assortment of colors too. Altogether a winner.

I have different SD card holders but I find this the best for this reason.....it's the only one that you can remove your SD card at the bottom side that prevents touching the top fragile contact area. Very clever design. I don't know about the resistance to water but I don't intend to expose my precious SD cards to water risks.

I want to like this product. Seems like the right size and form factor for my needs. And broadly speaking, seems well-built. But... It was purchased as a replacement for a "similar"product. This one shipped without the waterproof gasket between the two halves of the case. Therefore, it's not waterproof and it doesn't close convincingly. I'll be returning and finding another product unless I'm offered an acceptable solution.
