Description

Scotts® Turf Builder® Triple Action provides three benefits in one bag. This 3-in-1 formula kills and prevents weeds, all while feeding and strengthening your lawn. It kills broadleaf weeds, including dandelions and clover, and prevents crabgrass for up to 4 months. It also prevents other listed grassy weeds, including barnyardgrass, fall panicum, foxtail, and annual bluegrass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Triple Action can be applied to Kentucky Bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Tall Fescue, Fine Fescue, Bermudagrass, Bahiagrass, Centipedegrass, and Zoysiagrass. Apply with a Scotts® spreader when dandelions are actively growing. Make sure the grass is wet from dew or watering before applying to help the particles adhere to weed leaves. After 24 hours, water the lawn to wash particles into the soil to prevent germination of crabgrass and other listed grassy weeds. Do not allow people and pets to re-enter the treated area until dusts have settled. A 50 lb. bag treats 10,000 sq. ft.

The fertilizer is a little tricky to apply/spread since grass must be recently mowed and wet, and must not be washed off the grass by rain or sprinklers for at least 24 hours. And be careful not to apply where not needed or to leave residue on concrete or other hard surfaces, as it will stain the surfaces. High recommend and the pictures above that area use to be brown. That was two days after applying to my yard and it rained the evening prior to this photo. I most definitely recommended to friends and family and will be purchasing to maintain my yard further into the future.

    • Overpriced these days

At least It was not all clumped up in the bag the last two times that I ordered the smaller size this year. No need to pound out the clumps so that it wouldn't clog or jam in my spreader. Easy to spread, but it only really fertilized the lawn. The "Weed" fighting ingredients are not as effective as they were in previous years when the products were bagged and labeled as just "Weed and Feed" in the yellow bag and "Crabgrass Preventer" in the blue bag. I still have clover in the lawn and the older products always got rid of that before. There are also several other weeds remaining in the lawn. It did prevent the emergence and spread of dandelions. This stuff is also a lot more expensive than it was just three years ago when I could get the small bags for a townhouse end unit sized lawn. Those smaller bags ran between $18 to $23 a bag, now they are in the $33 dollar plus range and I think that the bags are even slightly smaller then they once were. I ordered a second bag of this "Triple Action" a few weeks after applying one bag, hoping to get rid of the remaining weeds from the first application. Two weeks after applying that second bag, clover and several other types of weeds are still in the lawn. It did give the lawn a deep, dark green color, but lots of weeds remain. ... show more

Please read the types of lawns this can be used for. I have st. augustine grass and it should NOT be used. It does say on the packaging but think this needs to be noted more greatly.
