Description

Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Triple Action is a 3-in-1 formula for Southern grass types that kills listed weeds, prevents and kills fire ants, and fertilizes your lawn. This product controls dandelion, dollarweed, clover, oxalis, plantain, chickweed, and henbit. It prevents and kills fire ants for up to 6 months, while also preventing armyworms, fleas, mole crickets, chinch bugs, sod webworms, and ticks. Lastly, the added fertilizer feeds and strengthens your lawn against Southern stresses like heat and drought. Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Triple Action is for use on St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Centipedegrass, Zoysiagrass, and Carpetgrass. Apply when weeds are actively growing. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 4 ¼. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 8 ½. The product must be watered in immediately after application. Do not allow people and pets to re-enter the treated area until watering-in is complete and the surface is dry. One 26.64 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Triple Action covers 8,000 sq. ft.

Haven't seen an ant of any kind since 2 days after application. I notice the pill bugs are gone too. Was not expecting that. I hope this works for 6 months as advertised, "up to" is pretty variable, as is the amount of rain we receive around here. We'll see.     • What Happened to my lawn?

I have purchased this item on two previous occasions and this was my third. The two previous occasions the product was phenomenal and killed weeds and greened up the grass very nicely. Disappointed this round due to the fact that it was unable to kill Virginia Buttonweed and after putting the product down it was like feeding the Buttonweed steroids. Buttonweed is now practically taking over my entire lawn. The product kills most other weeds and chases the fire ants away for 4-6 months. ... show more

I followed directions to a T and had a lot of burned spots/areas. A first for me and I've been fertilizing my lawn for years. It's been hot so that's a compounding factor but I'm starting to see a lot of value in non-petroleum based fertilizers ("organic"). Using them more last two years and burning or over application is not really an issue. As to weed portion of "Triple Action". Worked okay. Definitely affected the weeds but nothing like a liquid application of herbicide. ... show more
