  • Very Good Fertilizer
Size: 4,000 sq. ft.
This fertilizer is really good! I applied it and it got rid of all the dandelion and the lawn turned super green and healthy in one week! Highly recommend for a one time application in Spring.

  • Works very well but be patient, some weeds take longer to die than others!
Size: 12,000 sq. ft.
I've never used this product before, but I'm glad I found it! My lawn had gotten so full of weeds, I decided to just kill everything with a broad-spectrum vegetation killer and start over. Waited until Fall, then sprayed the lawn, waited 2-3 weeks and sprayed it again to make sure everything was dead. Had to look at bare earth all winter, but it was for the best. This is where I messed up... In the spring, I tilled up the entire area and immediately put down some very expensive grass seed. I've since learned that it's best to till, wait a week or so for the weed seeds you just tilled up to sprout, then spray weed killer again to get rid of all the weeds before putting down grass seed. Having planted the grass seed right after tilling, the number of weeds that sprouted was insane. I didn't have a lawn, I had a huge patch of plantain, clover, Japanese clover, dollar weed, and crabgrass. Some of the grass grew, but it was mostly weeds. I've read a lot of reviews for grass seed that complain about nothing but weeds growing, but their description indicates that they did the same thing I did and planted right after tilling. Anyway... I found this product and followed directions to hopefully kill off the weeds. I knew that I was going to have a lot of bare spots (since I had so many weeds that had crowded out the grass), but I planned to over-seed this fall, anyway. The plantain, dollar weed, and clover started to die within 2 days and were completely gone within a week. The Japanese clover, however, took a while longer to start to die. I was starting to think that I was going to have to re-apply this or a different brand to kill it, but after almost 2 weeks it finally started to wither and has now died off. I do have a lot of areas that need to be re-seeded, but at least the weeds are under control and mostly gone. The crabgrass will have to be treated a different way since this product does not kill actively growing crabgrass, and I'm overseeding this fall so I can't use a pre-emergent next spring, either. The combination of fertilizer and weed killer is great, though, since crabgrass is opportunistic and grows when turf grass is not well-fed or maintained. Hopefully, ensuring the health of the lawn will help prevent crabgrass from taking hold next spring. I'm happy with the results, even though it took longer than I expected for some of the weeds. The biggest difficulty I had was keeping the dog off the treated area for a few days (the info on the bag says no pets/humans for 24 hours, but I erred on the side of caution and waited until it rained before letting her back on the treated area). ... show more

  • I am glad that purchased it first
Size: 15,000 sq. ft.
I purchased this product before I read the reviews. I probably would not have purchased it if I had. I am glad that purchased it first. I have tried every product available in my state for eradicating clover and nothing has worked. I have used the liquid herbicides, mixed them extra strong, added liquid soap surfactants, and the result was singed clover and dead grass. I tried round up which did kill the interspersed grass but only the top clover vegetation, the leafs, were eliminated. If I wanted 100% clover the best way to do it would be to use a course of round up. After one round up application the grass died and the remaining clover roots and runners flourished. It took about 5 or six sequential round up applications to (not completely) eliminate the clover. Everything else was completely dead and gone. So having already purchased a guaranteed clover eradicator I gave it a try. I did not check my drop spreader and the drop holes were partially clogged resulting in a heavy application over 1/2 the width of the spreader. After a few days I saw that the top clover leafs were singed on the 1/2 wide swath, as was the grass. After approximately 2 weeks I had stripes of grass with no clover alternating with stripes of all clover. I was very pleasantly surprised. After 4-6 weeks I went back with the remaining product and got most of the rest of the clover. I still have some clover remaining where the product may not have been adequately applied and I am sure that the many many clover flowers, that have left seeds, will show up as clover again and again in the future. But I have found the product that I will continue to use. I only gave a four star rating because some clover remained; the product was not perfect. But it could easily be argued that the remain clover is operator error and a 5 star rating is warranted. ... show more

  • Effective weed and feed!

This product will not prevent weeds from growing but it will kill the weeds that have grown. It’s trustworthy. Great for a green lawn.

  • Works… Kind of, But Not as Impressive as Expected
Size: Liquid 32 fl. oz.
I had high expectations for this product after examining the label — a combination of weed killer and fertilizer seemed like a great idea. Unfortunately, the outcomes were somewhat disappointing. The positives: It was straightforward to use with a hose-end sprayer, and it appeared to enhance certain areas of my lawn within a week. The grass certainly appeared healthier in some spots, indicating that the fertilizer component is effective to some extent. The negatives: Regarding weed control, the effectiveness was inconsistent. It managed to eliminate some smaller broadleaf weeds, but more persistent ones like clover and dandelions showed little to no response. After two weeks, I still had a significant number of weeds remaining, which meant I had to resort to a separate spot treatment. Additionally, the coverage seemed a bit overly optimistic — if your yard is medium to large, you will probably require more than one bottle to achieve complete results. In summary, it’s not awful, but it’s not exceptional either. It serves as a reasonable all-in-one option if your lawn just requires a slight enhancement and has few weed problems. However, for more resilient weeds or larger lawns, you may want to consider something more potent or specialized. ... show more

  • Good first impression
Size: 5,000 sq. ft.
I applied this material as directed. After the first three weeks, I cannot evaluate how well it is working, but my first impression is that there are fewer weeds and better growth of the existing fescue grass. Time will be the best evaluator of this product.
