Scotts® Green Max™ Lawn Food can be applied to any grass type in the spring, summer, or fall. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary, use a setting of 3 ¾ for the recommended rate or 3 ¼ for the regular rate. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 7 ½ for the recommended rate or 7 for the regular rate. For fast results, lightly water in. I recently purchased a home and know zero about yard maintenance other than mowing. How we all of my neighbors have gorgeous laws, so of course I can’t have mine looking like the forgotten stepchild. It’s been a cruel summer 🎶 I went to tiktok to find what the most reliable product was for green grass and saw this product constantly recommended. The process was easy. I simply followed the directions on the back which pretty much said just spread and water, so that’s what I did. Now this product advertised that you would get green color in three days. I’m not saying that it’s impossible as there are so many factors that come into play with growing and gardening as I have quickly learned. I didn’t notice any dramatic changes in 3 days, however I am starting to see results after about 1 week. My yard still needs work to fill in patches that have little to no grass, but I am happy with the results as I can now see the change taking affect. I have been watering daily for 30min/1hour and I have included the pictures of the progress so far. If you want greener grass fast this is what you want to use. It works in 3 days or sooner. But be sure to keep it off your sidewalks or driveways as it will strain a rusty spot when ever water gets on it. I just always take my blower and blow any product that gets on cement back into the lawn.

I had my whole yard redone last year, it was mulch from previous owner. I had everything scraped away, and had a landscaper come in and till up the dirt, add dirt, retill the yard and then level everything out. The grass grew well, but seemed to struggle. I bought a bag of this, spread it by hand in the spring and then watered the yard for a few days. The results were amazing! super fast growing grass, super green and luxurious. Sadly I did not apply another dose before summer, so my grass now looks like it is again struggling. Once summer is over, right before fall I will apply another dose to my yard to hopefully help it regain before winter. ... show more
