This release is amazing. I have had this model for over 6 years. One day my old one stopped opening. I went tot he local sporting good store and they had Scott releases but not this model. I was disappointed. Tried a competitor while my other one was sent back for repair and it was awful. Came on Amazon and saw they still make this release so I took the other back and bought my second one of these. Once my other one comes back I will have a backup. I should mention the other one was REALLY well used. I hunt for weeks at a time and in some of the roughest terrain and weather. I probably could have maintained it better so its no fault of the release or manufacturer that mine got gunked up and stopped working. ... show more

I purchased a brush-style (30") compound bow and due to it's design, it was suggested that I get a string release. Since I've never used a string release before, it did and still does take some thinking about what you're doing. I feel that once I get the hang of it, it will be a wonderful addition to my shooting experience. it fits well on my wrist and the release is perfect. Update: I've been getting ready to go out elk/deer hunting this upcoming September, so I've had to dial in my bow sights and work with the string release system. Again, as I noted before, it does require getting use to, but I'm doing much better to the point that at 20 yards I'm hitting the 'kill zone' on the target almost consistently. But more practice and yet still more practice is required. I am happy with it ... show more

This is a very comfortable release and I like that it has a buckle with holes, rather than velcro. The trigger breaks very cleanly. One comment...the trigger flops around kind of "loose" until you put some tension on it. Then it holds in-place very nicely and I've not had a single issue with an unintentional release. It was just a little different than other releases I've used. I also love the lifetime warranty, but I can't imagine there's much to fail on this design. ... show more
