Like other reviews have mentioned, this is a great gateway buy into back tension/hinge releases. Good price point, nice click, clean release. Great way to explore back tension/hinge releases to see if you'll like it or not and also figure out what kind of adjust-ability you're really looking for in this style of release. Improved my groupings significantly - can wrap my hand around the groupings and have robin-hood'ed enough arrows to be outright annoying, even in just a few days. Only three cons that are user-error/preference: 1) Set screws are quite easy to strip the heads on - heed the warning and do not tighten too much (also make sure your hex key is in good shape); 2) Wish the click and fire were independently adjustable, but can't complain at this price point (discovering I like a shorter distance between click and fire - aka, pretty toasty on the release). 3) The auto-reset with rubber bands I can see becoming a quick replacement item (B3 includes extra rubber bands for this very reason)

Ive shot bow for 18 years.. Ive shot almost daily for the past 2 years. Started with a trigger release, then thumb release.. Ive had many of both. Decided to try hinge/ back tension. First impressions... The finish is great. Kind of gritty textured but not rough or abrasive at all. Everything is solid, nothing feels cheap or weak. Shot about 20 arrows first day I got it. Its definately a learning curve, but I absolutely love this thing. Its set with the click out of the package and on a fairly cold setting. Perfect for me being new to this type of release. Its a super smooth release. Would recommend it.

Perhaps my title is misleading, because it's a great hinge, not just for the price, but in general. Construction feels very sturdy. Adjustment is very simple and easy, just need a 1/16" allen key (unfortunately, not included, hence 4 stars), and there are only 2 screws. The picture I attached tries to show the side of the moon where there are small indentations for discrete adjustment (as opposed to continuous adjustment). I found this very helpful when I was getting used to the hinge as I could change my setting and still know I could always go back to my previous setting very easily. At my current setting, or any hotter, you will not hear the click due to where the back of the hook meets the outside edge of the moon: the click is implemented as a small groove on the outside edge of the moon, but if you set it hot enough, the back of the hook will meet the edge of the moon either at, or past, the groove, so no click. Fortunately, this doesn't bother me, and any hinge that implements the click the same way will have the same issue. The hook return system is also a simple design, just a small rubber band, but I like simple and it's very convenient and works well. If you have big hands or fat fingers, you may find this release to be a bit too small for you. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. It's a great release, and it's inexpensive for the high quality you get.

It IS a nice release, good quality and good finish. That being said it is a HINGE release, not a back tension! So docked it a star for being falsely advertised, and I docked another star because mine was CLEARLY from returned stock and used, but did keep it and it hasn’t had any issues.

I've been slinging arrows for over 20 years and this release tightened my groups up so much so that I kept robinhooding my arrows so I have to shoot at a different mark each shot even out to 55 yards. Not only is it just a good reliable release it is very very comfortable. The contour of it is perfect and its finish is my favorite, grippy!. 10 stars!

Just started getting into hinge releases from wrist strap releases and I have got to say this is very nice and well built. It took me a little bit to get use to it but now I wouldn’t dare go back to a wrist release.
