I've bought these scissors twice, now, and I absolutely love them. They are very sharp and keep their edge well. I use them for trimming the thick hair on my two Cavaliers. Over time, all that hair does dull them, at which point I retire them to use for cutting paper, cardboard, and kids' projects. They continue to function well in that capacity. I expect to buy another set once these are getting old, but after two years of heavy use, the most recent set is still going strong, so it'll be a while. I can truly recommend them for anything that needs a good edge, be it sewing, hair, or some other purpose. Caution: They *are* sharp enough to cut skin if handled carelessly, so keep them away from young children. And if you use them for mats on your pets, don't pull the hair out tightly, because the skin will also pull out a bit. If you can't see the skin, you may nick it, which I discovered the hard way. Not only the best bargain in craft scissors, these Are the ONLY ones that stay sharper than any razer. Every other pair I've ever bought, up to thirty a pair, Dulled noticeably in a week and within a month of cutting satin ribbon any other pair were useless. These are still sharp as day one.
