used by Cricut Maker 3 and stencil material but it still bled under. It didn't run from the pen, I primed it just enough and dabbed it onto paper towel to remove excess like it said. I didn't think it bled until after I used the heat gun on it and then you could see it.

I read some mixed reviews about this item before purchasing. Some folks complained about the marker dripping. You need to prime the tip, but don't over do it. Just do a bit at a time until the tip becomes saturated. Slow and steady wins the race. In regard to the bleed over on the things you are burning, that has to do with the "wicking" of the product you are applying too. Soft woods are really going to soak up the product and "bleed" outside your area. Just use a light coating at first and then go over it again if you want a darker scorch. I used these pens on a woodburning project. They certainly made the task of shading a lot easier; however, the shading was not uniform. It appeared that the wood absorbed the liquid to differing degrees in different parts. Ultimately, it looked like I had colored in the wood with a brown magic marker. If you're looking to shorten the time you spend shading, this will work, just know that it may result in some variations that you may not get if you do the scorching with a woodburning tool. ... show more

I liked that it was MUCH easier than the wood burning tool. For the price it should come with 2 pens. This is a medium size project and towrd the end I felt like the pen wood run out but it did not. It does bleed but i think it gives it a little more character. It reminds me of the old wanted photos. All and all satisfied. Will buy more pens..hopefully at a discount.
