I wasn't sure what to think after reading other reviews but once I received it, I was impressed. The main tube, the smaller diameter tube and the flat piece that connect the tube with the phone clamp were properly machined and anodized. The threads all looked good with only a few nicks here and there (a common issue with all anodized parts it seems) and everything was quite solid once fitted together. The phone clamp is polymer, with brass nut inserts, a long, quality adjusting screw and overmolded parts were it touches your phone and the clamp also feels like a solid part. I was half expecting chintzy plastic bits, like all the others that I have seen, but no this is quite good. Now on to the rest. The design is good and worked well with my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. I attached it to my spotting scope and it took very little effort to align the eyepiece of the scope with the opening of the device. Not easy but not too bad either. The nylon alignment screws are well made and fit properly and are non-marring. I will get better at aligning it all the more that I do it. (Same for the next step) Next I attached the phone clamp & my phone. The problems that I encountered all had to do with my phone changing the lens it was using for the camera while I was trying get good picture alignment. Once I figure out how to make the camera use only 1 particular lens that will make it much easier, but that's nothing to do with the Starboosa phone/scope adapter. I do recommend this adapter. The only way to make a better adapter would if it were specifically for the scope and phone combo that you are using but that is far more expensive. This is a neat item that works pretty well. It is made of sturdy material (aluminum, I think) and is fairly adjustable. After some fiddling, I was able to get a pretty good picture. I had to remove the clamping piece in order to get it close enough to the eyepiece. It was still pretty far away from the eyepiece, so I had to use the Zoom function on my phone. It also has pretty minimal instructions. I got it to work, but I felt like I was jerry-rigging the whole thing. I still give it four stars because it is a great idea. It just needs to be better executed. (In my pictures, the fire hydrant is about 100 yards away and the wind vane is probably around 300) ... show more

The problem I’ve had trying to get smartphone-to-scope adapters working with my iPhone is that I can’t adjust the distance from the eyepiece to my phone’s camera. Either the camera is too far and tries to focus ON the eyepiece itself, or too close for properly focusing THROUGH the eyepiece to the subject being viewed through the telescope. This adaptable bracket solved that problem for me, in allowing me to adjust the position of the eyepiece inside the tube-and-screw assembly. The plastic screws can be well tightened without fear of damaging your eyepiece or scope objective. I finally got successfully phonescoping! The only issue I had is what I always fear with the solid aluminum that I otherwise prefer: Damaged screw threads. I ended up not needing the extension tube provided with this kit, but in the process of EXTREMELY CAREFULLY screwing and unscrewing the extension I discovered that the shorter tube with the screws had arrived with damaged threads — in fact, I could visibly see the damage (bright patches on the anodized threads) the moment I opened the package. Even with a great deal of care, I was barely able to finally succeed in getting the tube screwed onto the phone holding bracket. If I had been unable to do so, this product would have not worked for me and gotten 1 star. For this close call, and the product being barely workable straight from the factory, I feel obligated to rate this no higher than 3 stars. I have the same product with the 2 extensions and they were just fine, but this one did not make it safely out of the factory. This has proven to be a fine way to mount a phone to a telescope or other scope, or even binoculars or monocular, depending how they're shaped. The plastic screws prevent damage to most surfaces, but you do need to be careful not to strip them out. The phone holder itself is very interesting, with extra nubs and a raised wall shape that I'm guessing is intended to hold many different devices in multiple configurations. It makes this very versatile, but also very secure. I had no qualms leaving it mounted to my telescope with my phone in it. It's an incredibly useful adapter set, and should allow you to mount your phone to many scopes and get great shots. I can easily recommend it. ... show more

This rifle mount doesn't fit hawke scopes well. I tried everything and looking at the manual and it just tells me to move the phone around to make it more accurate. It is not beginner friendly at all and i won't use it. However, the image and video quality is actually great but the problem is that i can't put it in my Hawke scope for Air rifle. It isn't really accurate with the iPhone 16 and is not compatible. ... show more

I wanted to be able to get some pictures and video of my shots. I was excited to get this. The problem is (for me) it is large and cumbersome. I had hoped to be able to use this anywhere, but relegated to theidea that I could at least use this on a bench rest, but I still have a very difficult time using the camera to look through through the scope, AND pull the trigger. It is difficult to make the shot on target. I find myself leaving this in the bag more often than not. Seems a shame. I think hooking this to a spotter scope would be a better idea. ... show more

Getting set up is more entailed than cheaper units that slip on over an eyepiece. Though once installed it is both sturdy and has a very clear image. By using the space tube eye relief is much easier to achieve and provides a clear eye box. The locking screws made me a little nervous but locked up tight enough to prove me wrong. The locking thumb screw that centers the phone is very sturdy and keeps the phone well centered through the peephole. Of course the holder may not be useful for heavy recoiling rifles I have it set up on a 22lr and it feels plenty sturdy enough to withstand a day at the range. ... show more

Fit perfectly, and allowed me to use my S23 to take some really great shots of me target shooting. This fit snugly, and held pretty well. It will loosed up as you use it, as will anything that it attached like this. I had to slightly tighten the screws back up after about 30 or 40 rounds, which isn't terrible. Smaller caliber rounds would probably work better than .40 cal., but still worked just fine. ... show more
