It started out pretty good, and the concept is great, but it could use some tweaking and it didn’t last. First, the pros- the “kickstand” idea is great and making it removable for wireless charging is what I bought this case for. The negatives- 1. The pop out kickstand really feels like it is positioned upside down in your hand. If you are using it to hold your phone, not just to prop it up, the curve faces the wrong way. If I turn my phone upside down so that the curve hooks over my fingers it is much more secure. It should have been a simple tweak to make it pop out from the top and curve down instead of the bottom and pop up. And it seems obvious when you hold it. So why? 🤷♀️ 2. The clip for removing and replacing the kickstand so that you can wirelessly charge is not super easy to remove or replace. I use a wireless charger every night and it’s a bit of a pain to get the kickstand in and out. 3. The pop out action of the kickstand wouldn’t stay flat after a few months. It would only stay in the popped out position. If I really fought with it or removed the kickstand piece and flattened it before carefully replacing it, it would stay down for a while. But as soon as I touched it it would pop back out again. Not helpful for putting a phone in pocket or purse. 4. The deal breaker- the clip (mentioned in point 2) is made of plastic and is not strong enough to last. It snapped off after just a few months of use making the case completely useless. For the price I definitely expected it to last longer than a few months. So, all in all, I will probably opt for a different case now that I have to buy a new one. Which is a shame because this is a fancy concept. But it really needs some work to deal with these quality issues. ... show more

I've used the Scooch cases for a few phone models now and found them very convenient. I was exited about getting another since I upgrade to an Iphone 12 and they advertise they improved the clip by it being removable thus capable of wireless charging (old model does not allow for wireless charging since the case is too thick and perhaps the metal in the band prevents it). Nevertheless it's impossible to unclip this band section. I'm afraid if I push any harder it will break off. I will continue to use it without removing the clip section but I am disappointed that they released it like this. It's not ready for prime time. ... show more

Well, I had another Scooch case that lasted as long as I had the phone. It was for a larger (max) phone type. I purchase the same case for my new iPhone 12, but it seems flimsier. It makes a cheap plasticky noise when you hold it in your hand and the kickstand moves around in the rest of the base. Doesn't seem as solid as the original one I purchased. I'm a bit disappointed. I thought about returning it but don't see something else on the market like it to replace. ... show more

This is my third Scooch case. I have found them to be exceptionally reliable and I just love the leg. It can change from a flat case that I can slip into my back pocket or I can extend the leg to watch a movie while I’m having lunch! Love this case! I have found them to be very durable and they have protected each of my iPhones extremely well. I highly recommend purchasing this for whatever brand telephone you have but in particular an iPhone. I was so excited when I saw there was finally a Wingman available for my iPhone 12 mini. I had one for my iPhone X and absolutely loved it. So when I saw this, I pulled the trigger without even looking at any reviews. When it came, it lasted at the very most, 5 mins, out of it’s packaging. Didn’t even make it on to the phone. I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. At first I thought it was a mistake shipment…but there it was, the only reason I got this case - the pop-out Scooch kick-stand. What I was looking at was definitely not the Scooch Wingman case I was so dearly accustomed to. What I was looking at was a $4.99 flimsy Chinatown plastic POS, with not even a plastic insert, but a paper one, for the stupid design they now implemented on these cases!!! You couldn’t pay me $35 to put this case on my phone!!! Absolutely appalled. Shame on Scooch to downgrade so severely in quality from their previous lines of cases. This case easily cost less than $1 to produce….Bye Scooch! Never again will I even consider one of your cases to protect my phone ... show more

So disappointed in this Scooch. This was was my third Scooch purchase, but the first of this design with the removable back for platform charging. I have removed the back possibly three times and have always been a bit concerned about the durability. Today while using my phone, the plastic clip broke off. I doubt that gluing would be successful. Since I rarely use the charging platform, I would definitely go back to the original case design and avoid the removable stand design. ... show more

Once I found out about SCOOCH Wingman I quit buying inferior cases! The kickstand comes off easily for charging on a charging pad! The kickstand let’s you put it in a car vent very quickly & easily, eliminating the need for a phone cradle! I also have a Qi wireless charger in my car. If I want to charge, simply remove the kickstand while charging. Kickstand allows the phone to sit up on a desk horizontally or vertically.
