I bought this pinball game and the Curious George Pin Ball for our two sons. Both of these are metal backed and high quality. We've not used them long, but they appear to be able to last significantly longer than the plastic pinball games we've received in the past. Best of all, this game is huge! My 3yo old had a blast playing with this. He didn't get the concept 100% but he would get really excited when he shot the balls up and they landed in different places. There is a small, plastic tab at the top of the part where the balls line up to be shot (I believe it's to keep the balls from rolling all over the place when you're not playing)- either way, it's supper small, plastic, and somewhat useless for my kids so I removed it- I try to keep small, ingestible items out of their hands while driving! Just something to note (and look for- I found it by chance when I was showing them how to play) if this will be played by younger children. ... show more

My boys love the little tiny cheap plastic versions of these, so I got them this. It is not cheap. Very thick sturdy plastic and metal balls inside. I like that it has tab to hold balls in place so that when carrying it/traveling they do not rattle around. Had it since Christmas and they are still like new. ... show more

I was surprised at the quality of this toy. I was looking for some fun things my son could use in the car and he likes this. At 4 years old it's a little frustrating to him sometimes, but he will spend a decent amount of time with it. The back is just cardboard, but the plastic is thick. My son absolutely loves this! He wanted a pinball machine Valentine box this year so we used this for the top of the box. The back of the game is metal so I was able to hot glue it on to the box and them pop it back off after the party. Huge hit!
