    • Looks Good, Feels Good but Works Great!
I feel I got a really great buy on this one! We bought the Huffy 26" Mens Granite Bicycle - 26202. So there was no way to know if the colors matched up and I really was not concerned about it... we just needed a decent helmet but to my pleasure and surprise the colors matched like it was made for the bike! I know most people will not have the same bike but all I can say is for one it look really nice attractive blue, it is very adjustable to fit any size adult head. It is very secure and stays put when adjusted right. It has a perfect amount of padding inside for comfort while riding and it help protect your head if there is a fall. It is a really nice looking and working helmet! I feel I got safety for a great price! I feel very secure with it... and its not embarrassing to wear! I have gone back to bike riding after many years absence. I have not made any comparisons of this helmet to other products in the marketplace, but just looking at this helmet in isolation I think it is great. Helmets used to be fairly heavy and difficult to fit correctly. This is a breeze. It is light and airy and the adjuster makes it easy to get the right fit on the head. The chin straps also are easy to adjust. I have a relatively large skull and I had no problem getting a comfortable fit with this helmet. I am sure there are better helmets around at much higher prices but this is a great deal for the average rider. ... show more

    • Excellent value! Just a little DIY velcro needed.
This is a very inexpensive helmet, but doesn't feel like it's as cheap as the price. It's actually rather decent, lower mid tier quality. The foam is firm and well sculpted. Fitment is excellent and there's ample adjustment available with the straps. The visor is supposed to be removable, but attempting to do so starts to look like it's going to crack the outer shell... so I left it in place. It's actually not too obtrusive. My only reason for not giving his 5 stars is the padding. There is default paddling already in place on the strap harness that wraps around your head. Then there's the two strips that are positioned over the top of your head. The pads are a little bit thin, but worse is the velcro. There are just two VERY SMALL little circles of velcro provided. It's not enough to anchor the pads in place very well. But, if you have some velcro on hand, as I did, I was able to cut some extra pieces that finished the job. Now the top pads are securely in place. I got this helmet for seasonal use at a relative's house that I visit in the winter, and didn't want to spent a lot of money. This was the perfect choice. The helmet is comfortable and does the job, for an excellent price (I paid $15). ... show more

After not riding a bike for nearly 30 years I decided to buy one to help me start losing weight and to get healthier. My kids told me that I need a helmet (as I've preached that to them for their entire lives) so I looked at many helmets both cheaper and more expensive, read the reviews and decided to give this one a try. I'm so glad I did! It fits my large head comfortably, it's airy which keeps my head cool and it feels very comfortable. The padding and construction seem to be solid and due to the adjustable dial, it fits perfectly and feels as though it will stay in place through a crash should one occur. Very happy with this purchase thus far, the colors match my Mongoose Dolomite well and my wife said I'm pretty cute in my new helmet which is a plus! ... show more

This helmet fits well, adjusts easily, is light, has an adjustable chin strap, and costs less than the large majority of bike helmets. It's also as protective as most of them--it meets the same crash protection standard. The difference between this and a much more expensive helmet is the much more expensive one may be very slightly lighter--although this one seems very light to me--so if you're doing time trials and every second really counts, you may want a different product.
