For some reason, the $100 battery I bought from Wal-Mart had posts that were too thin for the connections on my Pilot. Unfortunately, since I had it installed (and didn’t really scrutinize the workmanship) I didn’t find out until my Pilot wouldn’t crank on a few occasions. Once I identified the problem, I took it by a local garage and was told they could wire up another connector for the smooth price of $85. I knew there had to be another option and that’s when I came across this item. Fits snug like a dream and the connection clamped down nice and tight. Haven’t had an issue since. And nice to have a spare, since it was a 2-pack and I only needed one. On a side note, can’t figure out for the life of me why these differ in price so drastically. Paid like $3 for mine and worth every penny. ... show more

  • Very malleable
They work great. Just be aware these things are like butter and will split on you if you're not careful. Place them on the post... open the post clamps wit EXTRA room if you can, then tighten. If you try to shimmy the clamps onto these you'll be goin back to Amazon to order another set.

  • Super awsome product
Awsome and cheap product not hard to install with basic tools but not easy either remove battery terminal from post and this product easily slips over the battery post the hard part is if you are buying this then you probably already have the terminal clamped down all the way you either have to spread it back apart or beat in onto the shim on the post neather method is extremely easy but is much easier to beat it on than spread post do this with a hammer and a small but blunt object working around the terminal in a circle to avoid to much warping once the terminal has reached the bottom retighten but to securely clamp terminal to shim and post so that it will not move ... show more

  • These work great!
My question is, Why do I need these? Why do the battery manufacturers make the battery posts too small to be tightened down on? I have a '99 Dodge truck and a 2006 Mazda....the battery leads on both cars, made in different countries, would not tighten any tighter to fit snug! BOTH vehicles, both leads could be lifted off with my hands without any effort! Tightened as tight as they could get! Why don't the battery makers use a tiny bit more lead and make their battery posts 1 or 2mm more in diameter? The whole thing is absolutely STUPID! What could that cost them? 1 CENT? Ridiculous! But, this is a super cheap, easy, and great fix! :) ... show more

  • Saved me $100's
The battery cable kept coming loose on my Kia Soul. When I went to a garage about another issue, I asked if they could fix the battery terminal issue, and they gave me an estimate of $758 to replace the entire cable assembly. So, I went on Amazon, saw these for less than $5, and solved the problem myself when they arrived. Easy to put on, and now my cable has a tight, secure fit on the battery. ... show more

  • easy to install and cut in case you only need half of it
The media could not be loaded. On a 2015 Toyota Corolla my positive battery terminal was loose, so I order the shims however they are too big for my terminal so ended up cutting in half, and now it is a tight fit The package came with 2, so I have 1 1/2 in for future repairs

  • Does the job
Solved my problem after a new battery purchase. Very pliable. Suggest attaching them to battery cables first, then putting them down over the terminals . Must be squeesed with a plyer to make narrow enough for the terminal. Easy to do.

  • They worked!
Got these for my '13 Honda Pilot. Big corrosion in positive terminal, would clean it with wire tool and it'd work fine for a month or so. Finally, electrical shut off completely (no power steering, no power brakes, no hazard lights, nothing) so I tried these. THEY WORKED! Easy to install, firmly in place. Recommend trying. ... show more
