Right out of the box I was impressed. It came wrapped up in a foam wrap, carefully placed in the box and secured to not moved around. Unwrapped, it looked beautiful! Surprisingly it wasn't as heavy as I was expecting it to be so I'd have to give it a plus on that part. Finish is beautiful and flawless. I didn't see any blemishes or imperfections that would make me wanna return it. It felt great, has a nice playing neck and feel to it. Plugged in... Holy wow. I've owned 8 basses over the years. From a $500 4 string up to my $3700 Quantum 5 Modulus graphite. This thing has better tone than all of them. Get it set up properly by a pro with some GHS taper wound stainless strings. You won't believe how well it plays and sounds. The finish is just gorgeous. I play through an Eden Vt 40 amp and an Eden 410XLT cabinet. This thing sounds incredible from finger pluck to tapping to pick to slap. You can't go wrong. I got this bass at a guitar center, not on here. It was about the same price too! The picture of this bass is an understatement of how good it really looks in person, This bass has a sexy gothic look to it and it's tone is just as great. I highly recommend this bass to anyone, i love this thing.
