  • Xbox Series X / S only 1080p at 120hz
Style: 32" IPS QHD 144Hz
Would be 5 stars if out the box 1440p @120hz would work for the Xbox Series X. I thought I did my research. Unfortunately, Microsoft knows about it, and they have not been able to do anything about it for the past two years. I could have saved $50 and got a 1080p 144hz monitor. Easy to assembly. Would recommend this for gaming laptops/desktops. Do your research if you are looking for a monitor to take complete advantage of monitor specifications. I will be keeping this monitor because I do have gaming laptop and desktop as well (lol). Has not so great speakers but hey at least it has a couple. This monitor in my opinion is a good bang for your buck. ... show more

  • Good monitor for a decent price.
Style: 32" IPS QHD 144Hz
Pros: + Seems to work well for the most part... Nice picture quality and works well for games at least for the PC connecting through DP (Display Port). A definite upgrade on my old 27 inch 2K monitor that I got from 2017. I can't say much other than I'm relatively happy with this particular product overall save for minor issues that I ran in to. Cons: - Had a tough time installing the display on the stand. Instruction manual wasn't quite clear on which screws to use. Also the confusing part is I have to sort of break in the screw holes with a bigger screw for the right sized screw to properly go in otherwise they just slide right through. I don't know might be a specific design choice by the manufacturer but may be if they have that stated in the manual I wouldn't have to wrack my brain trying to figure out that's what I'm supposed to do. All good I was able to do it after a few hours and I'm able to connect the display on the stand by figuring it out on my own because the manual didn't help much. - Had some minor issues connecting the HDMI on this monitor to my Nintendo Switch. If I Pass through the HDMI of the Switch to this Spectre monitor it works fine. However I use a HDMI audio extractor to pass through my Switch and to the monitor so I can use my speakers on it but unfortunately the Spectre monitor can't detect it. Now I had the same issue on my old monitor but the way to get around that was to disable the auto source switching. Unfortunately Spectre monitors don't have a way to disable the auto source switching. I called and talked to their tech support and according to them their display products were designed to always have the source auto-switching. So I had to look for alternatives to get around this issue. Instead of trying another type of HDMI audio extractor (which may not work) I opted for a simpler solution. Since the Nintendo Switch can read bluetooth headphones now I went with a bluetooth audio receiver instead. I had doubts whether if it works but I received that product and tested it and it works. So problem solved. Conclusion: = I could've given this Spectre monitor higher rating if I didn't ran in to those issues and having to seek alternatives so I can use my speakers. I was hoping all I needed to do was upgrade the display and not have to spend extra money on other accessories so I can make other things work. For that 4 out of 5 rating is suitable. ... show more

  • Had a small scare, but still a great monitor.
Style: 32" IPS QHD 144Hz
UPDATE 4: The issue seems to have resolved itself after a few hours. Still concerning, but all good. UPDATE 3: Less than a year and this monitor developed issues. First, periodically when going to sleep mode or waking up from, the monitor would flash solid colors, RGB, I'd have to turn off the monitor for the screen to go back to normal. The monitor was in sleep mode, nothing was touching the PC and it sometimes comes on for no reason, this time it came on with the bright stripe and what seems to be a comic like dot-matrix pattern. It's truly disappointing that it turned into a lemon in just 10 months. Will see if it's still covered under warranty. This monitor is absolutely FANTASTIC, but it's not perfect! Update 2: I switched to an AMD Radeon RX 6900XT. Here are the settings that I use for the monitor. In Radeon Settings under the Display tab and then Custom Color - Custom Color: Enabled - Color Temperature Control: Enabled - Color Temperature: 6500 - Brightness: 48 - Hue: 0 - Contrast: 72 - Saturation: 142 (You can set this to your preference) Settings on the Panel itself Picture - Backlight: 40 - Brightness: 20 - Contrast: 51 - Preset: User -DCR: Off - Sharpness: 50 Color - Gamma: 2.0 - Tint: 50 - Saturation: 52 -Blue Light Shift: Off System - Overdrive: On - Adaptive Sync: On UPDATE: I think I have found the perfect settings. Again, there is such a thing as panel variance so your mileage may vary. Note, when you make these changes, and you decide to turn on adaptive sync/G-Sync it may mess with the Nvidia color settings, just move any of the sliders in the desktop color settings and apply to ring it back. Nvidia Control panel: In the Adjust Desktop Color settings: - Brightness 32 - Contrast 30 - Gamma 1.56 (can be lower if desired) Monitor Settings In the Picture settings: - Backlight 80 - Brightness 20 - Contrast 50 - Preset User - DCR off - Aspect Ratio Full - Sharpness 50 - MPRT Off - Multi Window Off Pros - Amazing colors! Colors pop out very well, again, similar to OLED. I work on a 4k OLED screen on my laptop for work so I can definitely tell if it's closer to OLED or not. - Refresh rate is smooth as butter. Now this isn't a huge jump for me since I came from a 144hz monitor previously, but there are two additional features that make this refresh rate smoother. - G-Sync capable...but not officially rated for it. That being said, I tested with the Nvidia G-sync demo and it works!! You can enable it in the Nvidia control panel, and while the difference is small, it makes an overall smoother impact to gameplay. - Response time are snappy, this, with the above mentioned, makes FPS games like Destiny and Doom such a pleasure to play. It's like gliding on a polished floor coated in oil and butter lol. Make sure to turn on overdrive for this to work. - Size! The 32 inches makes a difference in immersion - Resolution. I came from 1080p ultrawide (2560x1080) and I didn't think making the jump to 1440 would be that huge but man, EVERYTHING looks crispy, clean and clear, especially games. - Price! At $270 (at the time of purchase and with no sales tax) this is a high end monitor at low end prices! Cons - The brightness.....oh the brightness!! This thing is too darn bright for it's own good. I'm trying to find a good balance on the configurations between the Nvidia control panel and the monitor settings, getting there but I haven't found it yet. - Blacks are too dark. I'm still playing with the settings but in games or movies, where there's dark areas, it's a bit too dark and it's hard to make out any detail, even when turning up the brightness. - Backlight LEDs, not bright enough to reflect of the wall. They might as well not be there so I just turned them off. When I find the perfect settings, I'll share them, but keep in mind panel variation, so your mileage may vary. ... show more

  • Great gift for those who use spreadsheets
Style: IPS 27" QHD 75Hz 99% sRGB
Bought for my dad who does a lot of spreadsheet/text heavy work. The higher resolution greatly increases the amount of stuff you can put on your screen at one time, and compared to the 1080p 24" LCD panel he had before the colors and viewing angles are way better, so even for normal stuff like YouTube it is a big improvement. I told him for years that a whole $200 for a newer panel and more resolution was worth it for what he was doing and now he finally believes me! ... show more
