  • Love It!!!!
Definitely worth the money. I love my Sawstop!!!

  • Poor quality design
Poor design and quality control that SawStop will not agree with, instead they gaslight their customers and say they’ve never had a single complaint. The brake will activate in humid conditions, or if blade pressure is applied despite not touching metal or flesh. The blade locking mechanism is utterly ridiculous and sucks. Poor dust collection Some of the tables aren’t flat so that lowers accuracy. Not worth the money at all. Oh and it’s made in Taiwan yet still demands a high dollar price tag ... show more

  • Uneven table surface
Overall, I was impressed with the quality of build, however, I found the table top flatness to be unacceptable for my woodworking needs. Directly adjacent and parallel to the blade, the surface dipped .70mm below the throat plate. The plate is relatively soft which means it will flex down slightly when cutting in certain circumstances. SawStop customer support was responsive but explained the table was within their specifications. Regardless, I believe they would have shipped me a replacement but it may have been equally uneven. I opted to return the unit and have since purchased the Dewalt DWE7491RS which has a larger table with much better flatness. Unfortunately I will not have the same protection SawStop offers but I personally couldn’t justify the cost penalty for an otherwise inferior product. At this price, I expected more. ... show more

  • Expensive to buy, even more expensive to operate.
Firstly: These are in use in Colorado (static air) where its always dry/low humidity. We have been using 3 of these saws for the past couple years. One less than the other two. They are not as precise as the DeWalt 10", but adequate for most things. They are powerful enough and the fence system is ok. They are heavier than most but that's expected. The 2 stars are because these have tripped no less than 11 times in two years (almost two years). At first we sent the cartridges in for evaluation. The first couple times we got some replacements free of charge. OK. However, this last 5 times we have been told we had metal impact, dust in the electrical connections, were not extracting the dust while ripping. We don't use them heavily, just for a few ply rips or casing rips per day. No heavy handed use or abuse at all, so were sure its not us. Overall, I am giving 2 stars because the reasons the Tech service offered is a flatly untrue. Not one of the blades has had any metal impact, unless it was a metallic fly or something. Silly explanation when you can see the impact on the cartridges is so minimal, the saw barely started when it was tripped. So, it's decent saw, but will cost you $500 year to replace cartridges and blades. Maybe worth it for your fingers sake, but not for us. ... show more
