  • My ‘Go To’ Gloves
Color: Black-S01 Size: Large
First things first, I ski almost every day in the winter, over 100 days most season; I’m also a Mountain Host at Park City Mountain so some days when I’m out, I don’t have the option to come in whenever I want. As such I have five pairs of ski gloves (see photo), they each have a purpose, a place, and a condition. I also want to add that my rating for these gloves is based on their suitability for my needs, their value, their quality, and their appearance. I have given these Savior Heated Gloves 5 Stars because they are my ‘go to’ gloves for most days on the mountain, but I still wear other gloves when the conditions or situation warrants. These gloves seem well made, I’ve worn them for probably 50 days this season and don’t see any threads coming loose, holes, or other obvious flaws or wear (though the writing on power button has worn off). They are also good looking and being mostly black, go with most any clothing combination you might wear — the simple white lines that decorate them add a little style. The glove palm and finger tips have a leather covering for additional strength. The heating function is reliable, I turn them on and they get warm; there are three settings: low (1 light), medium (2 lights), and high (3 lights), when you turn them on they startup in the high heat setting. I would say these gloves are suitable for ‘most’ average / normal ski days, for me that means 15 to 30 degrees. If you keep them on low and turn them off when at lunch or taking a break, the batteries should last the entire day (I believe the spec says 6 hours which seems about right). If your ski days include many days below 10 degrees I’d say you’d want to carry a spare set of batteries as you’d likely be on at least the medium setting and possibly high for most of the time (I do have a spare set for those occasions). I don’t think these gloves are suitable for sub zero temperatures for any length of time. On the other hand for warmer ski days (~25 deg +, depending on your tolerance), the gloves are warm enough that you might not even turn them on. Some days I might only turn them on for a few minutes after I’ve been using my phone without gloves on the chairlift, pop them on high for a couple minutes to warm back up. Each glove has a zippered pocket that holds and connects one battery, the batteries connect easily and the zippers work smoothly. The gloves include a ‘wall wart’ charger with a two connector cable so you can charge both batteries at the same time, I haven’t actually timed how long it takes to charge a totally dead battery, but I’d figure 4 - 6 hours. The batteries are semi-proprietary with a rectangular shape and a barrel connector, they are rated at 7.4V 2200MAH 16.2WH. I did have a problem with one battery, I contacted customer support and they quickly mailed a replacement — good service! Here are the Pros and Cons I find with the Savior Heated Glove: Pros: * Reasonably Priced * Well made and stylish * Fit well, are comfortable, and flexible. * Good heat settings for most days and uses Cons: * Power button can be easily turned on or off by accident * Need extra batteries for colder days * Wall wart charger instead of USB * No ‘touch screen’ capability I have pictured my glove collection below, as I said the Savior is my daily go to glove, but each has a purpose. I’ve also owned better heated gloves (each held two batteries), but they were three times the cost of the Savior and didn’t fit as well. From left to right: Head gloves — keep in work locker for casual use, Columbia gloves — springtime gloves for warmer days, Swany Leather Gloves — most comfortable, very well made, Free The Powder gloves — heavy powder days and very cold weather, Savior Heated Gloves — daily use, with and without heat. ... show more

  • Great for motorcycle in Southern California
Edit: I returned these after a week, I wrote this original review before trying them on. The new gloves fit perfectly around my palm, however every single finger is at least 1/2" too long, some as much as an inch. I tried to get used to it for a week, hoping they would shrink, but I can't handle it anymore. Sent them back and ordered a pair from Highway 21. I bought a pair of these gloves about 4 years ago, Feb 2019 (top in the picture) and just bought another pair this week March 2023 (bottom in the picture). This is my honest review with no incentive or prompt from the seller. The old gloves: The left glove finally stopped heating my fingers. The palm area heaters still work, so could be used for other purposes, ie camping, or other activities with not much wind. I will put them in my camper and use them on cold nights. They are not waterproof, however when I did ride with them in the rain my hands and fingers were still kept warm. I set them out on my bike when I arrived at work, and they were dry by the time I was ready to go home. There was no battery monitor, this was really my one and only gripe about them. Occasionally I would walk out to my bike and notice one of them was working and one was dead, I think this was due to how I stored them in my bag on the bike, the buttons would sometimes get pressed if I laid something on top of them and kill the battery. They only cycled through the heat levels by momentary press, no 3 second long press like the new ones. The new gloves: Includes a battery gauge on each glove, this should hopefully help prevent the battery dying half way through my ride. I did buy a spare set of batteries for the old gloves, so I will keep those in my bags for longer riding days. The new buttons with long press to turn on and long press to turn off should hopefully prevent accidental turn on while I'm not using them. I like this feature. The new gloves also came with a USB charger. It states that it pulls 5V and 2A (I have not tested), so make sure you have a beefy wall wart to plug into. I'm going to continue using the old charger at home in the garage, and will keep the new one in my office desk at work in case the batteries die while on my way there. I hope this review helps you decide on gloves to use, and I will hopefully remember to come back and add to this review in about a month after using the new ones. ... show more

  • Almost perfect…
Color: Black-S28C Size: Small
I’ve been using these on my commute to work for a few months now. Pros: •Keep my hands warm at 45°F. •Haven’t run out of charge on 2, 50 minute rides back to back on highest setting. • Comfortable to wear • Carbon Fiber knuckles. Cons: • The fit could be better. First I got a medium, it was huge so I traded it for a small. The fingers were long on me, but the cuffs are almost too tight to slip over my leather Alpinestars jacket… • Since the cuffs are tight, the batteries being inside the cuffs makes it a little hard to slip them over my jacket sleeves. Obviously they want the glove to look sleek, but maybe they could make more of a battery pouch on the bottom side of the cuff, OR just make the cuffs larger so they slip on easier. If they fix these couple design issues, these would be perfect. ... show more
