I tried cancelling this order because of the bad reviews and photos. But it turned out to be a great quality product. It was well packaged, no dings. The assembly instructions were clear. It only took me 2 and a half hours, and I took my sweet time. I would buy it again. My advice to those bad photos and reviews that I keep seeing: DO NOT STAND THE DRESSER WITHOUT ATTACHING THE BACKING. The back, although not made of wood, is vital to the structure. It keeps it square. Without it, it will sag, lean, and fall apart. YOU CAN ADJUST THE DRAWERS. Again, follow the directions. There are left and right drawers. And there are way to adjust it with a simple turn of the screw driver. If it doesn’t go in all the way, there’s a screw head obstructing the drawers from going all the way in, so screw that in further. The assembly of this furniture is nearly IKEA easy. So there’s things I love about this dresser and things that I don’t. The drawers are a good size. It does look a little darker in person than the online photo. I ordered the espresso one. It took a very long time to put it together and I’m pretty handy. But I also like to take my time making sure everything is right so that nothing looks off or crooked. And even though I did that, one of the drawers is still slightly crooked even with adjustments. Will have to deal with it. It’s not really noticeable but I’m a perfectionist. I’m not a fan of the fact that it doesn’t have a front support bar underneath, only in the back. So the dresser can slightly rock if you move it hard enough. It is very heavy though for engineered wood. I couldn’t move the box inside and had to empty it from the porch. I do love the look. And couldn’t imagine trying to return it now. With all that weighed in, my feelings for it are neutral. Because I decided to keep it, I bought the side tables because I need my pieces to match at least and the furniture isn’t horrible. Those were much easier to put together and are sturdy and work well. It brought the room together too. ... show more

For the price I am happy. Was 15°f and they delivered it fast and no dings. Package weighs alot, was difficult to move the box by myself I am a grown man. It is engineered wood/pressed wood/particle board/sawdust and glue. Its Grade A pressed wood furniture rare to see pressed wood made this well. It looks like wood furniture. I don't expect it to last alot of moves but for the price its ok. Took me 3-4 hours to assemble while watching TV. Its adequate size. Paint dings and scratches easy but this is expected. I am pretty handy so I didn't have the issues many did. First I will write about my thoughts, then the tips can tricks. Diamond Ash looks much different online than in person. It's a light grey online but in person a light brown. It's still a nice color, but I was not happy with that until it was in the room and sort of took on some of the other colors that were there. It's very solid and sturdy. The drawer slides could be better (they are equivalent to Ikea and typical furniture in that price point), but better slides are a substantial cost and would easily double or triple the cost of the unit for only a little gain. Assembly was very typical of products in this class. Take your time and make sure you read everything on each page. You will be dealing with repeating the same steps, sometimes with different pieces multiple times with only one picture. Make sure everything is lined up before tightening. I had bought TItebond III glue, but found I didn't need it. Prior to the drawers, make sure the dresser is SQUARE prior to nailing on the rear board. My rear board's middle nail holes were on a slight angle, but I had the dresser square. For the drawers there are little cams that allow you to adjust the slides so that they are straight and/or match the lines of the other drawers. I used a square here as well before tightening the screws down and only one of my drawers (top left) was slightly high. A simple adjustment of the slider on that side of the drawer solved the problem and you can see all my drawers are straight. There was a little bit of strap damage to the top and one of the S drawers had a similar issue on the upper back side and one corner. Nothing a touchup pen couldn't help with. Not perfect, but they would have sent new pieces (I just didn't want to wait). ... show more
