I've had this item since March 2017, almost a year and a half. I purchased this, the armoire, and 2 night stands. I feel like this is definitely a step up from Ikea furniture. The drawers hold a lot of clothes, and they glide smoothly on the tracks - even when heavy. The whole set looks nice in my bedroom, and I'm planning on buying the larger dresser as well. Two things to note. The material is a magnet for fingerprints. Not a huge deal, but something to know. Also, we moved last month, and due to the design, the front right leg came off in transit. This also happened with one of the night stands. Luckily I was able to repair it with gorilla glue and it is now stronger than before. ... show more

I read the reviews I think they are a bit unfair to this manufacture. They do box their product well, shipping can be tuff even though it has great packaging. The directions are great and easy to understand. The hardware is also packaged well and easy to find all pieces needed. I bought 2 of these dressers and assembled them with a lot of patients and elbow grease. I set up each stage and it took me 2 to 2 1/2 hours each dresser. I have assembled a few different items in the past so I had a good idea what I was getting into buying these dressers. The end result was 2 beautiful dressers that look wonderful in my bedrooms. They are heavy and nicely made. The price was the reason I decided to buy this dresser that I knew would be a lot of work. This was purchased as an inexpensive chest of drawers for my daughter's room. The instructions were detailed and although it was a little time consuming to put together it was worth the effort. There was minor damage to the finish of the side panel and to a couple of the drawer fronts but this was easily solved with a furniture touch up pen. This is the 3rd item that i have purchased from Sauder and i am extremely pleased with all 3 pieces! These are of fantastic quality for the price! What i like the most of this furniture though is its ease of assembly. Usually when a company tries to make something like this (Ikea), it either turns out horribly designed or the use of super cheap materials makes it difficult to put together and look good. The way Sauder has designed their furniture to be put together is flawless! I put 3 pieces together no sweat! If you follow the directions this shouldn’t take long to assemble at all. My mom and I got it done in roughly an hour. Drawers are a good size and slide easily, but corners are on the sharper side so be cautious when putting together. Comes with a brace for the back to keep it sturdy, also comes with a wall anchor to keep it from tipping over on your little ones! Photos don’t do it justice. We even got the larger dresser and two nightstands in the same color, so far everything matches exactly and I couldn’t be happier. ... show more

The first thing I need to say is that when purchasing anything online you're going to have to take something of a leap of faith, because there's always the possibility that the product won't be exactly what you expected, that it might not align properly with what you've already got in your house, and because there are going to be so many contrary reviews over it. I spent over an hour reading various reviews on this site and contemplating whether or not I wanted to take the time to purchase the product knowing that I might not be happy with it because someone else wasn't. At the end of the day I went ahead and did it and i'm glad I did. Personally, I think some of the complaints people have over the product are silly. For example, if any of the pieces in the product are missing, chipped, or even broken (Something that can happen, with the latter two often being an unfortunate part of the shipping process) the company allows you to call them directly and have replacement or missing parts sent directly to you. Sure, take a star or two off for the inconvenience, but don't let that impact your view of the final product itself. I didn't have any missing products. Nothing came chipped or broken. The directions were included and were very clear to understand. I want to take some time to emphasize that last part, because another product I purchased on Amazon around the same time (A bookcase) came with terrible instructions, with little writing that actually explained how the pieces were supposed to be setup and placed together. The instructions for this explain every single step, which I appreciated because I want the process to go perfectly the first time. The only part I struggled with was aligning the drawers properly at the end of the process. However, the directions actually state that some might have this problem and that you'll need to adjust how tightly you have certain screws in. Trust me, this might seem like something you don't have to worry about (The tighter the better right?) but you really do, because in some cases you need to have them in tightly, but not to the point that it stops you from being able to slide the drawers in. It only took me a few minutes to make the proper adjustments however and by that point you're at the end of the setup anyways, so I don't think it's a big deal to ensure you get what you want out of the dresser. I put this together myself and it took around 4 hours. I would suggest having a friend help you out to cut down on the time, but it's possible to do it on your own if need be. Have a hammer and screwdriver on hand when the product arrives and beyond that enjoy the product. I think its well worth the money and that it would look great in any bedroom. the negative reviews worried me a bit but maybe they just got a bad one . mine went together fairly easy, the worst part for me was the rails on the drawers. the directions have them lettered but no letters on mine, had to read left cab- left drawer etc on the side of each rail, which aint the end of the world but my eyes aint what they used to be and it wasnt easy to see. but thats the only complaint. its a really nice sturdy piece. the cams worked great. they made centering the rail screws simple during installation. just between u n me the anti tipping one draw at a time feature is optional. the drawers work fine without it. if its for a young child you might opt to use that feature. thats up to you. shopping the old b&m stores around here they could not come close to the price for similar quality. they couldnt come close even with lesser quality, then they add shipping ... show more
