I have only had this purchase in my house for a week, so I can't speak to the product's longevity. Overall, it's a very nice-looking, sturdy dresser. Materials are not 100% real wood - this isn't going to be a family heirloom - but I didn't expect that. However, it's heavy and the stain makes it look very sharp. The instructions were easy to follow and well-planned with helpful reminders - like, "make sure this side is facing out when you screw this piece in," and etc. The building process took 2 of us approximately 2 hours to build, had no issues with the parts, and ALMOST everything fit perfectly together. The only issue I have is that the drawer pulls don't line exactly flush with the top of the drawer, but it's so minor that you wouldn't be able to tell without inspecting every inch of the dresser while standing right next to it. I have had this over a year. Everytime i use them, i am so happy. I went years of my life without having a chest of drawers, but never wanted to spend the money on expensive flimsy furnature that i see in showrooms. Not only were these drawers a fraction of the price of those in chain stores they are solid! I personally, love the look and the fact that the drawers work smoothly and feel well built makes me glow. They were a little tedious and time consuming to put together, but actually, quite easy. Instructions were clear. I was reminded that we have a sauder harvey entertainment stand over 9 years old and it is still beautiful and strong (and through several moves). I've assembled a lot of furniture over my life, but never a chest of drawers. I particularly dreaded the drawer assembly, but it was actually a snap. The instructions are crystal clear. I could tell someone spent a lot of time on them to make them that way. I took off one star for one reason: The drawer sides fit into a slot on the back of the heavy drawer front, but there's nothing there to keep them in that slot. They didn't exactly snap in, either. They kept popping out as I tried to do the rest of the assembly. In fact, there is only ONE cam holding the heavy drawer front to the rest of the assembly! So I decided to use some quality wood glue in the slots. I let it dry overnight. Problem solved. I particular appreciated the mini-cam thing in the middle of the drawer sliders. That made making the sliders level a breeze. All the drawers popped in like magic--no problemo! Aside from a couple of minor dents and tiny dings...it looks good and more importantly, it's sturdy and works great. ... show more

I have probably bought over 15 of these over the past 3 years - I add them to the bedroom of my furnished rentals. They look amazing and have spacious drawers. I bought this item based on reviews and was looking forward to organizing the new space after a move. I have put furniture together before from other brands. Indeed, I had just put two other furniture items together in this particular move smoothly and easily. The instructions for this item are clear but tedious: I got blisters on my hands early on. Unfortunately, the outer layer of 2F screws gets flattened or cracks altogether in instructional steps 7-8 which require the tightening of hidden cams on each side of the dresser. They no longer fit in the holes. No extras provided. Not possible to contact the manufacturer on the weekend to rectify this. Considering the lengthy process of packing a house—and unpacking—with little children, extending this process further is frustrating. Now I have a half-finished dresser with little desire to complete it even if the said replacement parts were provided. The quality of the screws makes me question the item’s sturdiness. ... show more

The shipping for this item was excellent. It was originally supposed to arrive on Monday, but came early, to my surprise. It came on Saturday while I was out of town. There was a huge storm overnight Saturday and it poured a ton. Some unrelated stools also got shipped to me and the whole box for that became mush and the stools were soaked. But the stools were mostly metal so I just wiped them off with paper towels and they're fine now. This item, however, was shipped completely disassembled, neatly packed into a box that's just the right size to fit all the components. There were extra cardboard braces on the corners of the box for padding. The entire package was wrapped in a sturdy plastic wrapper. I was horrified to find it sitting outside and soaked in water. But, when I took it inside and quarantined it in the entryway and removed the plastic wrapper, slowly disassembling the box... I found that absolutely everything was completely dry inside the box. Even the instructions, which were on the bottom of the box, were completely dry. Great shipping! Working on assembling it now, it's a good several-hour project. So far assembled 2/4 drawers with just a screwdriver, pretty easy, just takes time. I need to buy a hammer for pounding the 50 small nails in that hold the back cover on the item. All of the wood finishes on the product look nice, I'm excited to get it fully assembled. Seems like it will be pretty sturdy, at least the drawers so far are. ... show more

    • Takes some work, but worth the work.
This thing weighs a ton but when it comes to self-assembled furniture that has moving parts, I've learned that's a good thing. It is solid. This thing looks just as it does in the picture. I quite like the design and pattern of the wood that was used and it matches my other furniture close enough. Pro-tip: If you're not a 'line by line' instruction reader and just glance to get the gist.... pay attention to the extra CAM that is given for adjusting the drawer rails. They pop in and do not connect to anything. The rail for the drawer is laid over it and screwed in. This cam is for adjusting the rail pitch and makes things easier in the end. Needless to say, I had to remove the rails and put them on after all else was complete because it was late and I was in a hurry. ... show more
