I got this a couple of weeks ago, and I can officially say I really like this dresser. It came with a broken base board, and thank goodness I went with Sauder. I called and gave my product serial number and what piece was broken and the next day there was a new piece on the way. They always have top notch customer service. Once that came in, I was easily able to build the dresser. I've had some practice with furniture like this more often than I'd like to admit, and this was easier than most, to include other Sauder dressers. I did it by myself with no issue, and it's square and sturdy. A nice feature is that this one comes with a safety strap and drywall anchor if you want the extra peace-of-mind to secure it to wall. As far as looks, this looks much higher quality than its materials would normally lend to. I can't say enough about how nice it looks considering it's a very affordable option for a dresser. I got the matching night stand as well and my room is looking 100% better. If you need a lower-cost dresser that doesn't have the "IKEA" look, this is an excellent choice.

I own 5 pieces of Sauder furniture and this one is the one I am just so unhappy with. It arrived in two packages and Fedex thought it would be fun to deliver one package on Saturday then another on Monday. It was VERY heavy (both packages). It didn't have as many small pieces as the other Sauder furniture but all of the screws and cams and stuff came in one big bag. The instructions had labels for each part but that didn't really matter when they are all in one bag anyway. I put everything together according to the instructions and all of the drawers are crooked. I took a level to all of the draw rails and they are all crooked by a little bit. That was all about how the holes were drilled. There was no other way to put them on. All of the edges show the light colored "wood" around them (see photos). I took a black permanent marker and VERY carefully colored all of that in. Hardly noticeable unless you get super close to it. If you look at the photo of the entire dresser you can see how the drawers all look (look at the left side of the dresser drawers). I am going to clean off the dresser and double check everything. There has to be a reason why they are all off, but if you look at the product photos the drawers aren't all straight there either so it's probably a massive waste of time. As long as you don't stare at it and only look at it from far away it looks fine. I would get the matching side tables, but you can see the light colored edges on the Coffee Oak ones too. After this I doubt I'd buy anymore Sauder furniture. :(

This was simply to put together until I got to the drawers. There are pieces of particle board that sits on the bottom center of the drawer, and one was missing a pre-drilled hole. I used wood glue to attach it to the bottom of the drawer, otherwise I wouldn't be able to pull the drawer out once I pushed it in. Also, it was difficult to get the drawer fronts to fit flush, I had to use wood glue to keep them from detatching as I pulled out the drawers. Make sure you use a level when you hammer the nails in the back of the dresser or your drawers won't fit. I probably screwed up somewhere but I followed the direction and I'm patient. I would recommend assembling this all in one night rather than over a period of days. You probably want the following: a screw driver, hammer, wood glue, and a second person to help. The boxes are really heavy and it's NOT solid wood.

It was decently easy to assemble, just make sure to take your time because there are lots of pieces to keep organized. It took my husband and I a couple hours. The drawers don’t line up perfectly, so it needed some adjusting but it works well for the price we were willing to pay. You can’t see the imperfections from a distance.

Dresser is beautiful and just perfect for what we needed. The drawers glide well and are deep enough. Assembly was a bit of a pain because the pieces were not labeled very well. All the screw came in one mixed bag. I received better assembly furniture where each screw, nail, and piece were separately packaged and labeled. Even the flat pieces for the drawers and sides were not labeled well. But after a day of leisure assembly, it looks great. Be careful with the surface, it looks like it may scratch easily, but i don't want to test it to find ou for sure. We use it also as a TV stand, and since our bed is high, it's the perfect height for us!

This is a great dresser; it looks great and it’s very sturdy. Assembly took me a while but I don’t think it’s overly complicated and the instructions are well written. My room is industrial chic and the iron hardware on this dresser tie in with that style nicely. The shape of the dresser is modern with clean minimal lines and it’s well proportioned. The materials are solid and have a rustic yet luxurious feel to them. One final note— the customer service was awesome! I broke one of the side panels, completely my fault, then broke another one trying force assembly with the broken panel. I contacted the seller and asked for replacement parts and offered to pay... they responded the next day and shipped the replacements free of charge. Everything arrived quickly and even though the boxes looked like Ace Ventura made the delivery the dresser was in perfect condition.

Bought this dresser because we have the matching headboard and nightstands. It was a little difficult to put together but we managed in a couple of hours with the two of us. However, once it was put together, we noticed that one of the side pieces was warped, which causes the drawers to be uneven down the center and they scrape on the sides. This will eventually be in our guest room so we will just hope nobody but us can tell.
